Where did you see that ? I was just on the TKS website and they show him slated to run the upcoming WOO race at Jacksonville. They also mention they were happy with his effort at the Nats.

You know now that you mention it, I thought I heard someone say he was going to be racing with the Hight Limit at our local track Skagit Speedway.
Damn old timers disease, I forgot all about that...

27R....may I ask a question? I remember back in the 80s a 27R, that ran Skagit , would see him at Cottage Grove and the Gold Cup. Robertson I think was his last name? Is that you by any chance? Im sorry if I got names and numbers mixed up......Old timers disease as mentioned above

A little surprising considering how well he's been running at Knoxville in that car this year.

You may be thinking of Ron Robertson or Roger Coverts car although Rogers car was just 27 not 27R ? Not sure on Rons number, memory sure ain't what it used to be. Nope not me, I started running the last 3 races of the 92 season until the end of the 04 season with some breaks in my driving in the 98-2000 seasons to Crew Chief for Jim Cress and we ran two cars sometimes, that's where the 27R comes from. Prior to that my number was just 27, Jim took over my number when I sold him my car at the end of the 97 season. Then when we ran two cars he was 27C and I was 27R. Started running my own deal again in 2001 in preperation to put my late Daughter in the car in 02. She got hurt and I was back in the seat till 04 and then hung up my driving shoes for good.

Knoxville has only one night of sprint car racing remaining on its 2024 schedule. He is 8th in points with no chance to finish higher than 7th. Probably a good time to cut the strings if he has other plans for next year or is looking for a traveling series.

Unfortunately sounds like Dad might be the issue which sucks if true cause he is a nice young man with tons of talent.

I think he was fine before the 2KS and will be fine after the 2KS. With the funding available to the 2KS that ride is sub par at best. They had a nice weekend at the nationals with a tough end result and have had a couple of good runs this summer.
