Suppose you were in a sprint car and you could pipe some music to your ear buds, what would it be?
I'll start and nobody will pick this but I'm different if ya know anything about me.... I pick the Bolero by Ravel, I listen to classical music a lot while watching racing

I would skip the music so I could hear what the race director was saying and stay safe. I've been playing guitar since the 60's and own a nice little collection but music time is music time, racing is all about racing.

Looking through the recommended songs, mostly classic rock, and comparing to drivers playlists there is a generation gap when it comes to music. 90% of the stuff on their playlists I've never heard. I play power chords aka 5ths with plenty of dirt (see the connection) in the mix. No country or hip hop. Rock can be current stuff, I prefer heavy rock with singers and not growlers.

Dad always said he'd love for someone to blast Jump by Van Halen into his helmet as he was cruising down the backstretch on the front row of the Knoxville Nationals beside Kinser as he gave the King the finger before they dropped the green flag. I told him that might piss Steve off. He said yeah... because he'd probably be listening to Jump too.
I think mine would be Eminem's Lose Yourself. BUT I did start a feature at Charlotte with the Outlaws one time, and when I got out of the car, I asked if they played Hells Bells by ACDC on the Parade lap because I could actually hear bells. They confirmed and that will always be my favorite song ever because of the situation.
Jacob's would probably be some song by ICP. I won't lie. There are a few Insane Clown Posse songs that will absolutely get me out of a funk and want to conquer the world. So dont knock them till you understand them.
