I think I saw he just had surgery? I'm assuming that has influenced his sprint car. Anyone confirm?

Cant confirm surgery, but I also heard they are concentrating on their business ventures Swindell Speed Lab and Victory Fuel energy drinks.

Yes he recently had surgery.
He has a post on his FB explaining why no Sprint 39 so far this season.
