he took the lead after a nice battle and survived a few late race restarts. couldn't happen to a more deserving young man and family. he's going to be tough the rest of the week with eastern storm.

Good to see him get the win. He's been close before and the trips to Indiana have been good for him.

I believe it was Kerr in 99 although by then he was living in Ohio. Pauch who's from NJ beat them at the Grove in the Zemco ride with Dewease 2nd in the Dyer 461 that was in 96.

Briggs ran great all PA USAC Speedweek. Had port in the bag until riding the wall and photo finish at Action Track USA got second.
Bright, Amantia also ran very well at times.
Yes, Frankie Kerr was the last Posse to win USAC. I think for Schoff.

briggs races clean and put that on display last night. he had numerous opportunities to clean out logan seavey for the win and didn't do it. he drove like a guy who thinks he'll be back up front again soon.
williams grove did a nice job getting the program in friday night. heartbreak for briggs with running out of gas...but at least he had a race to run. typically the grove bags it early with a forecast like that.

I think Briggs proved at Eastern Storm that he can definitely compete on an even basis with those USAC regulars...

From USAC: "Danner led four of the six races during Eastern Storm and led the most laps throughout the week with 78"
If not for one DNF, he would have been pretty high in Eastern Storm final points....

Was that USAC or SCRA?
Danner could have easily won 4. Surprised Bright didn't fair better as he is usually Danner's equal when it comes to eastern wingless racing.

The race Pauch won was definitely USAC it was in 96. I believe it was Brad Marvel's last ever race, hurt his back in a flip then retired not a hundred percent sure
