The porch is pretty lucrative and it's an hour or less tow for most porch dwellers.
A few have the resources to leave the porch and skip a $10,000 to win Steve Smith Memorial - that they likely had a good chance to win - to chase other dreams.

Egras spends too much time on social media where idiots and kids talk smack just to wind guys like him up. I am pretty sure I talk personally to more Pa. fans in month than he has in his life and have never heard a bad comment about Knoxville. In fact the night he was out there I was talking to people about him being there and the only comment was "thats a tough field out there every week".

It sounds like they don't have concrete plans from week to week. By pouring their hearts into the preparation it should set themselves up for a solid foundation of performance, reinforcing the decision.
