80 cars, a large 360 B-main and several bad wrecks to clean up through out the night. What would your recommendations be? Looked to run as smooth as it could be. Car counts are up and that's a good thing. Done shortly after 11:00.

You should ask Golden boy Brown to stop turning right on the frontstretch and causing massive wrecks if you want to get out a little earlier.

Browns move was inexcusable. What a bad decision.

Heats didn't start until 8:30. Qualifying 360s and pro sprints continue to make no sense as they are not premier classes. When they push off for a heat it's usually 3-4 laps before we are lined up and going green. That many push trucks and that much room for a starting grid it doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me. So after a wreck filled 360 B main we come up to the pro sprint A main. Zero cars in staging and we took an intermission. One 410s in staging after the 360 A main and it was nonregular Joe B Miller. Kudos to him for being ready.

But really my statement could be more directed at the drivers. We are tearing up tons of equipment the first three weeks in bonehead moves. Brown was malicious for just a flipping heat race that means nothing with Knoxvilles point system. A couple back markers in the mains literally just spun out on their own which sometimes collected others just trying to turn laps. Idk 11:30 finishes a couple weeks in a row is bearable but becoming the norm for a couple years now.

I've never seen a track run as efficiently as Knoxville.  True, I haven't been to 90% of the tracks in the country, but the tracks I have can't hold a candle to how well Knoxville is run.  We went opening night, and it was 11:00.  It was 11:00 for much the same reason as there were a ton of incidents on the track.  Qualifying and hot laps went VERY quickly.  We could not believe the speed in which they ran qualifying for 36--360's.

Reason no pro sprints were on staging is track made an audible and changed format after 360 B and cancelled 410 B. Skip came around and apologized cause most the infield officials didn't even know until they called for the cars in staging

Came here to say this. The 5-10 minute banter between races is also getting to be a bit much. Definitely miss a promoter/race director who wants to get the races in by 10:00. I understand shit happens and equipment gets torn up, but good lord.

Bring back Kendra, Toby Kruse, or Stickel.

+1

Final checkered flag waving sometime between 10-10:30pm should be the goal.    Will it always happen, absolutely not.   But it will never happen if you're not trying to make it happen.     Trying to make it happen means that you have a plan in place that makes it possible that if can happen when things go right.

Every week should be run like you're trying to beat a storm that's coming in at 10pm.

Knoxville is good (much better than a lot of other tracks) but they still have room for improvement.

It's easy, If you must be home my 9:30-10:00, Then don't come!! Stay home and watch Days of Thunder

and you'll have your 1 hr & 48 minute Race show.

Personally I am excited all week for the next race program and once I get there I'm not going to sit there and wish the night away that I waited all week for..

Knoxville is ran great, has great safety crew, etc.  With that being said a regular saturday night takes forever due to 3 class and a lot of cars. It's the reason a lot of people quit going on regular nights especially the casual fan.

I havent heard "Stickel" in a long time, Bob Stickel was a great person and was awesome for Knoxville!

Way to come on like a Dick, Pete. It isn't hard to figure out who doesn't have much of a life.

The first comment was unnecessary and shows who you really are. And stop comparing our sport to stick and ball bs who cares what they do, they also charge astronomical prices for everything would you like that?

I used to have the same mentality and then I had kids. Three kids 6 and under and my 6 year loves going. She sits and watches and does quite well. It's not even her behavior that's typically the problem. (typically) Smile but when she looks at me and asks if it's okay if she tries to go to sleep because it's late then it's an issue. We come to see the mains for the most part right? I like qualifying and I like heats but I want to see the mains. So does she. We always stay cause I'm a die hard but she doesn't always get to watch the best part. Now if I take the younger kids they won't sit still that long and it's miserable. They have been to Osky weekly show since it gets over good time which went okay. But even my wife has mentioned it's not good to keep my oldest out that late.

I can only assume to new fans that aren't die hards that this could be even more of an issue.

With just 14/15 Pro Sprints a draw for heat races would save time and wouldnt change much. They are Knoxville only but would be much better on a smaller track.
