with WRG taking over ASCS, Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland Missouri went and dropped all ASCS shows from their schedule, this past weekends 360 sprint show (which normally has been ran an ASCS regional race) was ran as a POWRi Ozark 360 race, drew a whopping 12 cars, and only 10 started the feature, in the past when ran as an ASCS regional race it would typically draw 30 plus cars, with the ASCS National tour races having been rained out this past weekend, thought maybe a few of them would have made the trek to Wheatland, but not a single one showed, now I'm curious if those running full time with the ASCS National tour are prohibited running with other series like WoO platinum drivers?
This years Jesse Hockett/Daniel McMillin Memorial at Wheatland has been switched from an ASCS 360 race to a POWRi 410 race, curious to see how that will play out with ASCS National tour now hosting a 10k to win race at Arrowhead Speedway that same weekend, the Hockett/McMillin memorial race used to draw 60-70 360 sprints at Wheatland, sadly I doubt they draw that many 410's.
I wonder if Lucas Oil Speedway dropping the WRG ASCS races is because the "Lucas Oil" Late Models compete against the WoO Late Models series, + seems some think the Lucas Oil Late Models series championship has become a joke now that they've gone some sort of play-off route.

I don't think it's directly tied to the LM competition. The WoO sprints have not been to Lucas Oil Speedway for a very long time. There must be something up between track management and WRG.
Signature here.

Lucas Oil has always marched to the beat of their own drummers.

Right now I don't think anything tied to Lucas Oil is touching anything WRG related and vice versa especially with the streaming.

Does anyone really know what started the fued between the two groups? Surely, it can and should be resolved, in the best interest of all spring car races.

My memory is a little foggy on this one. The Outlaws raced at Wheatland in 2008 and never returned. I seem to remember that Forrest Lucas may have tried to buy the Outlaws and was turned down. The other thought was that Lucas tried to dictate to the Outlaws when he would schedule them at his speedway and found out that was not how things worked.

How about the PowrI National and West midget feature that started 5 cars. Too bad at one of the best tracks in the country

Whatever general admission was for this travesty, should be returned.

To the tracks credit they gave everyone a $10 off ticket for the next event you attend. Did appreciate that
