I'm thinking of riding over. Weather looks decent. It's 5hrs for me and I'd wanna be at work Thursday morning... looking at their site I don't see any support classes

You are hard core. Jacksonville, IL. right? Probably be a cool show but are you expecting them to be finished before 9pm? Won't you lose an hour of time on the ride home? Be careful and enjoy!

The track is right in the middle of town so they want to get it over early especially on a weeknight. I dont think they have ever run a support class the couple of times woo has been there. I think it has been over early each time. Id say its possible the show is over by 10.

Yes Illinois. I'm in the Cincinnati area. As much as the race for me is riding my motorcycle and going to a new track is all the better

My one and only time there was in '17 for a midget race, it's a super cool little place. I hope the weather is good for your travels.

Kenny Dobson is legit one of the best promoters in the biz. If the weather holds out, you are in for a great show and they do everything they can to keep the show moving. Local tracks need to take a lesson from J'ville. Having a 30 min intermission at 10:30p and then starting to lineup the advertized feature class past 11p just isnt going to work business wise anymore.

So, 4 heats of about 14 cars each?

Non Qualifiers race taking 4 into 4 Heats will have 11 cars.

I'm here... nice ride over. 56 cars and main stands were sold out when I got here at 4:30. I'd say the track hit a grand slam home run.

Perfect example of HL and WOO racing together. The best of the best is what fans like to see instead of division among the 2 series. HLs midweek races are great but has to rely on Flo to make it work. Division has never worked in any type of competitive sports

56 cars at a POS track, this could have carnage.

I don't think your comment aged well. Helluva race-caution free.

WoO LM and Lucas are both great. Not feasable to have 28 touring teams on 1 series. I have been to both WoO and HL races this year. Enjoyed both. HL doesn't shy away from giving credit to drivers accomplishments with WoO either. Remember HL is still growing and learning. I think it is great time to be a race fan with 2 top notch latemodel series and 2 top notch sprint series.

When I worked at the Mighty Macon Speedway, I'd go to Jacksonville to pass out flyers every once in a while. The racing is insane. The most memorable was Brad Loyet with PowerI in a nonwing car.
Christopher bell has a bad ass in car camera going around there in Swindells car.

Short tracks make for exciting races. No yellows or DNFs traffic was a factor but thats what fans pay to see.Gravel beat the best HL or WOO. Larsons starting on the pole wasnt the race it sometimes is. Buddy and Cory are both. very talented. If promotor didnt make money it couldnt have been a better show in front of looked like a full house especially on Wed. Missed a few but glad for 55 that showed up. Being a WOO commited driver limits them from doing what several HL did by supporting another group.

The WoO has like 20-25 more scheduled races than HL. Maybe their plate is full and wouldn't run in other shows if they could ... but wait they can run 4... I'd be willing to bet there are 0 HL team that run 27-29 extra shows above tv full HL schedule.

Well said Latemodel1 - bingo
the comparison with the national dirt late model situation is spot on
Now if HL and WoO would agree on about 12 majors a year and not schedule on top of each for those, perfect
