Merry Christmas! REMINDER: You folks can put that vacation request in for the first week of June this year -- June 3rd through 8th. This will be the second annual USMTS Southern Series Speedweek and the Wednesday through Saturday have already been booked. We're planning on racing Tuesday night through Sunday night. 6 tracks in 6 nights so plan one of those vacation weeks for the first week of June!

More Okies....

The Kraft Kar guys were there in-force. Minnesota legend Willie Kraft is set up these days in the Rameriz shop in Woodward, Oklahoma where Kraft Kars are built. In addition to Kraft, Derek Ramirez and Brandon Kenny also had their Kraft Kars entered.

After a wicked crash in Thursday night's rodeo A-main, Kraft -- another veteran -- was at his best on the slick track and was Friday's top qualifier. It was his second top 8 heat race performance in a row. After drawing 4th for the A, it appeared that he would finish 5th but the white flag and post race scramble, got him to the runner-up spot. After heat race problems at the barnburner, Kraft started 18th in his B and worked his way up to a 5th place finish, just 2 spots shy of a transfer.

Kenny and Ramirez both made all 3 A mains. Kenny was top eight on Thursday while Ramirez made the barnburner through his heats after having to use a provisional at the train race. They both had their best finish at the rodeo though with Ramirez, 12th and Kenny, 14th.
