Good run by Donny Schatz at I-55 to pick up the win.  And a wide angle would have captured the win.

He won again without Ricky? Impossible.

Ricky was busy in Texas helping Rico to a 7th place finish.

Nope not true he had double digit winning seasons before Ricky. What was Ricky's big accomplishments before he was with Donny. Your just too pigheaded to believe anything else. But that's ok keep saying the stupid shit you always say so everyone else can roll their eyes and laugh at you.

So why hasn't he made Rico unbeatable? Or the drivers he worked with before Donnie? The world wonders.

Eliason grabbed a top 10 over in the High Limit race last night.

If Schatz keeps this up, he could win his second Knoxville Nationals and his second Kings Royal without Ricky.

Not surprising how one wannabe know it all can turn a nuanced, multi-faceted discussion into a black & white argument

Several factors at play here & we've been over this before: Age, Ford engine, crew chief

Clearly a team needs a good driver and crew chief both. I think Donnie would win more with Ricky (& a Chevy????????)

Who's to say?

I used to root against him, but I'm glad he won!

Shuttlesworth has made his reputation in Pa not on the road. This will be all new for him and so will be a lot of the tracks. I'm glad for him and he deserves a shot with his success here but on the road is unproven.

So, you'll give me 20-1 odds?  I'll take it.

If somehow, someone let you be an oddsmaker you would be in serious trouble. Probably hung by your toes.

Shuttleworth is a very capable crew chief,  you guys overlook one thing when comparing what RW and DS accomplished together. DS, definitely declined when RW had his health issues.  The biggest factor not one of you has brought up. Donnie is a better driver than Rico. I like Rico a lot, he races clean and if things are right he can park it in victory lane. But,  that's where the comparison ends, Donnie is by far the superior driver.

What's up with Rico this year?  He seems to be in a run if bad luck.  Last night he ended up flipping while running out of the top five.  Shows how hard this sport can be and how competive this HL series is.  Just a tick off and they're mid pack.

I've always liked Rico.  However, he is who he is, and regardless of the opinion of one particular Hoser, Ricky Warner is not going to turn him into Donny Schatz in his prime.  Ricky Warner isn't going to turn anyone into Donny Schatz in his prime, because you first have to have Donny Schatz.  As Murphy already pointed out, Donny has more talent than Rico.  IMO, he has more talent than just about anyone who has ever strapped on a helmet and jumped into a 410 winged sprint car. Arguments can be made about Kinser, Sammy, Wolf, and Larson, but the list is short.

Rico is a great driver, but he is not at that level, and he will continue to be a threat most nights, and will pick up some wins, with a smattering of hot streaks.  I don't see him ever having the equivalent of a 30 win Outlaw season, but he will be a formidable opponent each and every time he is in the field.  So in my opinion, there's nothing up with Rico this year----he's Rico.
