If I understand the situation right, the WoO should have cars coming out their ears for this weekend's races-right? Take the WoO drivers and add in all the High Limit drivers that are free to race any here they darned well please-right?

So far, H-L lists 58 drivers with points. If all 58 act on their god-given right to race wherever they please, you'd think that would be an extra 58 cars for the WoO this weekend. Smile Right?

There are 60 races on the HL schedule.     That means the HL guys have 306 nights of freedom this year.   They can choose to race or they can choose to NOT race.  That’s the great thing about freedom.

With the Volusia races, drivers are facing a 75% chance or rain and a 25% chance of a blown engine.    I  expect some of the HL guys to choose to NOT race.

If gazillion is the over/under,    I’ll take the under.

I don't think they will have anymore than 22 cars.

You are correct!  What I've learned the past 6 months:

1.  Being forced to run extra races costs money!  So, if you're contractually obligated to run a certain number of races, those extra races take money from the owners/driver's pockets.  Motor, tire, and fuel costs will eat you up being FORCED to run 80-90 races per year.  All Oultaw drivers at WoO races are incurring huge losses as they are forced to be there.

HOWEVER:

2.  If you aren't contractually obligated to run extra races, and you can run any race you want, every extra race you run is a windfall of money, especially since they pay $20,000 to win!  Motors, tires, and fuel are free at races you run on your own time, without someone forcing you to be there.  All HL racers running WoO races are making money hand over fist because they have not been forced to be there.

I've had this all wrong all along, and apologize.  How did I figure this out?  When Bill Balog toasted 2 motors in the first 2 races of the season, opponents of the Outlaws stated that Bill would simply not be able to keep up with the high costs of running the grueling Outlaw season.  (after 2 races)   Many went on to claim that Balog would be better off signing up for the HL series because they only run around 60, and the costs would be much lower.  (reminder:  after 2 races)   Then, the masses went on to state, if he ran the HL series, he would then have the freedom to race many other extra races which would allow him to make extra money!!..................................Overall, we are the dumbest fan base in the entire world..............................................

Fredom - exemption from external control, interference, regulation  -  the power to determine action without restraint.

Sounds like your the clown that needs to learn the definition.  What he said is 100% valid.  The HL guys have FREEDOM to choose if they race or not.  Most will choose to not race is my guess, because of multiple factors.

I'm not sure I understand the logic of egras

It will be interesting to see how long Balog lasts in the WoO world. I am a fan of his but he needs a good crew chief I feel.

I hope they all have enough money to race at most of the events.

I hope all the fields are big enough to run 4 heat races and the tracks provide for great racing and not follow the front row starters.

Boy it's really tragic their keeping all these poor drivers in chains depriving them of their freedom must have had guns at their heads to sign the contracts. Funny thing I don't hear anyone complaining except fans care to enlighten us and name the drivers who are begging for they're freedom?

All complete sarcasm.  I want Bill to continue on the tour and I will always root for him.  My point was many on social media think he has enough money to race 60 HL races, and then race multiple other races he can't race while on the Outlaw tour, but somehow cannot afford the 80 races the Outlaws has scheduled.   It's ridiculous.

the WoO guys have the freedom to chose More Points Fund, More Tow Money, More Contingencies over running a few more races where they don't get those benefits.  WoO drivers choose/chose benefits over non.other sanctioned races with 0 benefit other than the purse. HL teams chose less of each for less points races and other factors that was their decision, whether it was competition level, friendship, sponsors, travel, being able to cherry pick or whatever it was.  It's a choice all teams have and for those that chose the stability of the benefits, really shouldn't be that hard to figure out. Would they like to run more races not WoO???? Maybe, but obviously the benefits of the agreement won out for those teams.

HL teams are getting a break for the entire month of March and there are 8 WoO races shceduled for them to run if they wish.

I'm not pro/anti either series, but I understand the reasoning of running either one. I'm not a WoO fan or a HL fan,  I'm a fan of Sprintcar Racing and I guess that's why I can see the benefit of both series and why I would never bash a race team for their decision to do what is best for them or a series to do what is best for them.

Every decision has pros and cons, ignoring that is keeping yourself (not you personally, those that seem to want to ra ra everything one series does and degrade everything another series does) ignorant to the reasoning behind those decisions.

example people pushed one series format over another as being better. In the end 4 races for each series, 8 races total and the deepest winner came all the way from 3rd starting spot (2 WoO races)....  guess the format for either isn't better than the other after all and the 1 inch wicker bill wasn't the answer either.

My .02cents from my perspective, if you don't agree, that's o.k. because that IS a freedom you have.

I'm not for or against either series and how they do business.  I have plans to watch both.  I do think it's asinine to call someone out for not knowing how to use a word correctly, when they obviously did.

You mean some of the same ones who wanted the freedom to race non outlaw sanctioned big paying races yet were nowhere to be found when Baps put up 20 Gs to win last November after every other series/track in the northern hemisphere was done for the season????

The teams that signed up to run H/L.

"It is asinine you completely missed the point..."

Enlighten me.  You called someone a clown for using the word freedom incorrectly.  I gave you the definition, and the poster used in correctly.
