IIRC, in the past the Roth Classic has not been an Outlaw sanctioned race. So his cars out traveling would have missed the race anyway. Last year both cars were there because Kofoid wasn't full-time with any series, and McFadden had already been suspended by the Outlaws so they just brought the car to CA for the race.
