You are picking up what I am laying down.  He just don't get it lol

Opinions are "I think Donny Schatz is better than Steve Kinser" or "I like Eldora better than Knoxville"...........those are opinions.  I think I will like the HL better than the Outlaws----that is an opinion.  

Fans that hope for the biggest sprint car series in the nation to fail, are IDIOTS!  Only an idiot would want that to happen and think it's good for the sport.  Period.  So, you are welcomed to have that "opinion", but you would, in fact, be an idiot.  If you think the Outlaws or HL making too much money would be bad for our sport, you are an idiot.  Not because it's my opinion----it actually means you are an idiot----regardless of what my opinion of you is.    

Many of the other points on my list are not matters of preference-----which is what opinions are based off of-----they are blatant contradictions made constantly by sprint car "fans" on every platform.  Sorry, they're idiotic and contradicting at every corner!  Do you want drivers to be able to run more races, or does running more races cost too much money?  Make up your mind.  

I got in this conversation on Facebook.  Someone said "The HL gives drivers the ability to earn more money."  I said, "no, actually, the WoO purse is much higher."  The fired back "I guess my opinion doesn't matter."  That's not an opinion---it's an incorrect fact.  An opinion would be "I like the HL because drivers can earn money while travelling less."  Opinion.  Drivers from the Outlaws have more money available to them----fact.  

So, in answer to your question about others being able to have an opinion---yes, they can.   If it's an untrue fact, they are wrong.  And, if you wish the demise of the World of Outlaws, and contradict yourself on every statement, in my opinion, you are an idiot.  

Does that clear it up?  

I'm going to honest here and say that I can't figure out what this post is in response to either. When I first read it, I thought maybe it had been posted to the wrong thread. After rereading it, it feels like some stand alone thoughts where the preced paragraph was deleted. 

Ok, I l (like many others on here I'm guessing) am so confused about what you're rambling about and why.  Who on here said they wanted the WOO to fail?  I haven't seen one person on here say that.  I also haven't seen anyone on here bitching about how much money the WOO or HL makes.  So if someone has said that, fill me in because I haven't seen it.  I'm guessing you got into an argument with someone on Facebook and they didn't agree with you, which upset you so you decided to rant on here about it?  If that's the case, why not rant on Facebook about it?  

I'm not trying to sound like a dick here but you have no idea what you're talking about.  Why?  Because the WOO has been around continuosly since 1978.  NOBODY has any idea what it would mean for sprint car racing if they went away today.  Period.  Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying I want that and in fact I have the complete opposite opinion but NOBODY knows what it would mean for sprint car racing if they died today.  You're also NOT in the books on every sprint car team out there, so you don't know what's profitable and what's not profitable.  Also they haven't even run a season of the HL yet, so you (nor does anyone else) don't know which is more profitable.  There's more to determining profit than purse money.  What I am sure about though is that there isn't any sprint car team out there making money, but I don't know that either since I'm not in their books.  Also HL absolutely gives people a chance to make more purse money.  With the "watered down fields" that some are calling it, the way it looks right now, a person could pretty easily finish 5th in points if they ran all the races and then get a charter.  Would that pay better than 12th in points in the WOO?  Nothing what I said here is an opinion, it is a fact, the HL hasn't even run a season.  Chill out and enjoy some racing this summer.

Ol' Pete P isn't 'new' here. I figured out who he used to be. I'll have to go back to find his screen name. Remember the guy who was on a very loud crusade about track safety after Jason Johnson got killed? He got progressively creepier in responses to people he couldn't get along with, eventually crossing some lines and then diappeared.

I may remember by hearing his screen name.   

That is what a lot of these clowns do, hide behind a screen name.  They can't handle letting there name get out there.

Most people are on Hoseheads because they are sprint car fans. There are always a few on every message board that are simply there to play the internet attention game. The funny thing is, they usually have some unique style quirks about how they post to get the attention they crave.

If they were true fans they would have there name out there not some screen name.  That tells me they are the great pretenders.

You should really get your facts straight.  I only have one account.  Ask the moderators if you don't believe me.  Use your real name then instead of hiding behind your computer name.

I will drive three hours to Port Royal for 410sprints before I go to a modified track with 5 classes of cars andcrappy track conditions.

Pete, welcome to the group. At times you just have to look past at the moronic comments that some make. There is always a difference of opinion with some for that persons personal opinions on what he may believe. The 2024 season will be upon us before you know it and we can turn the attention to the guy that put a new driver in a certain car and who's washed up.

I think I found the old screen name- glhayden. I can't get the archives to open right now to compare writing patterns and attitude.

I know that name.  He did post some doozies but don't think thay are the same guy.
