I agree. He's a really good pit reporter. He is knowlegable and asks intelligent questions.

Was really hoping it was gonna be Chet Christner.

PeteP: sounds to me like he is going to be their main announcer.

I like Chase. I'll think he'll do a good job.

You are spot on. Slow down so people can understand you.  I often wonder if they actually watch and listen to themselves to understand what they need to improve on. Blakes voice never projected well for me, but I have hearing loss from open headers and working in shops my entire life.

George in Plymouth definitely isn't the most flamboyant but you sure as hell can understand him and I enjoy his style.  Ray Underwood did did a very good job because his voice carried well also. He just got a little excied at times. His National Anthem was always incredible.

Kind of like when people leave voice messages.....slow the hell down and articulate your words.

When television replaced radio as the main means of communication the saying was "he has a face made for radio".  The vast majority of racing announcers are great at whippining up a live crowd but don't come across as well on television.  I think the trend is going to be more towards televisiion voices as streaming gains more traction.  I'm happy with their choice because High Limit doesn't come within a reasonable distance of central Minnesota so for a Lot of us they're a television show.

This is AWESOME, someone who just tells what he sees without stupid shtick tag lines. So refreshing to have someone who isn't trying to BE the show, but ENHANCES the show!

Like Stan, All of my 410 sprint watching happens online except to an annual pilgrimage to central Iowa. This is a coup for HL.

Chase was a really good contrast to Johnny's call. Loved his coverage in the pits and his weekly insights, he covers what I'm curious about during an event. He does not assume that us "watchers" are ignorant and it shows.

I believe I also read that High Limit also hired Kendra Jacobs, a long time PR pro with sprint car roots. I enjoyed her on "Winged Nation" a few years back.

Expect  more salvos from both players. My humble opinion: World of Outlaws will need to up their game with the local racers to fill the fields out on the road in the more remote areas.

Actually, Chatty sang the National Anthemat a race I was at, and she did great.  Very surprising considering her screamish squak while announcing.  I would much rather hear Ray announce than the clown that took his place, and good lord, don't let that guy sing the Anthem. George is tolerable but at least you can tell what he is saying.
