I'd say that most of us on Hoseheads believe that Brad Sweet and Kyle Larson read posts on here. This post & thread is aimed directly at them.
Brad- for the betterment of High Limit Racing, and to find out what your fans and potential fans think of your program, set up some sort of official suggestion box. I know, you have a corporate e-mail somewhere that I can send info to where it will sink to the bottom of someone's inbox and never be seen. I'm thinking of something a lot more specific and useful. You could set it up and provide links on racing sites, or work directly with a racing site like Hoseheads.
Here's the plan-
Submitters will be asked to suggest one idea at a time. Expand on that idea all you want, but stick to one subject. Anything that reads like a manifesto won't get read by anybody anyway. Encourage people who have opinions or ideas on a dozen aspects of HL to submit a dozen seperate, specific e-mails. This will alow you to have someone sort all the ideas into like piles. It will make it easier to see trends and to cull out the crazies.
I look forward to seeing soemthing soon.
-Thanks

And enforce rules.....like a competitor stopping on the track and telling officials to put people ahead of other people and then getting their spot back as well. Just a thought

Great start to the post. This has been discussed, and they admitted it was something that shouldn't have happened. Moving on....

START. ON. TIME. Unless there is an act of God, a fence ripped down or multiple medical emergencies, there is no reason not to at least start the program at the advertised time.

Please no more quick times starting on pole of heat races. About 95% of heat races won by pole car. That is nothging more than hot laps. Invert 2 front rows. You go by point for year champ so just give more points for quick times. Fans want to see some competition in all races for $40.00 ticket price.

What Linbob said! Sprint car heat races are not races. They're single file high speed train exhibitions. Make the heat races not be boring as hell!

I think you missed the explanation of one at a time. Let me use your post to illustrate my point.
When Brad adopts my idea of the suggestion box, it will be flooded with suggestions by fans like you and me. They'll want someone to go through them and sort out good, usable info. Which of the nine categories would your suggestions go into? Answer: the "other" file- the one that no one reads.

A one at a time example:
Brad- I suggest you do away with time trials. They really don't accomplish anything for 99% of the fans. Instead, draw for heat race positions. Award points for finishing position and passing. For spice, allow the drivers who drew the front row extra points to start in back. You'd have to do some war gaming with the concept to work out the best system.

For future broadcasts can we limit the amount of nicknames or mentions of nicknames I don't need to hear the "North pole Nightmare" 20 times a night.

I'm still thinking that racing is seeing who has the best car/ driver/ setup on any given night. Why does everyone want to penalize the RACER by putting cars that didn't earn the spot , ahead of the person that did?

Run races in a timely manner with no support classes if not open wheel cars

To a point, but there's a lot more involved to make it entertaining. If you just want to see who can go the fastest, pass out the checks after time trials and go home. Alternately, you could call it a night after the dash. Chances are you'd come up with the same winners you do now 50% of the time. I'm not in favor of making the fast guys forever start behind someone slower. I do believe that the top 8 guys would do alright with a lineup based on heat race finishing and passing.

Uhhhh, so maybe we could see some actual side by side racing rather than a single file freight train....

Apply the work area rules to everyone - FAIRLY.
If it's "2 minutes in the work area" then it's 2 min for everyone, regardless of status. Stop insulting race fans by giving certain teams as much time as needed (it seems) to completely rebuild a car in the work area. And no open reds after only a few laps into a race.

I don't remember anyone having a "2 minutes in the work area" rule. However, I do know the outlaws have a "minimum of 2 minutes in the work area" rule. I also don't remember a single time where this rule was ever violated--ever--at all. If so, please point it out to me.

For the 10,000th time , it's 2 minutes GUARANTEED time, not a 2 minute limit.

When you only have one wrecker and multiple cars on the track yet to be towed into the pits....I understand why they went to an open red. They already had a good number of laps having to do that stupid 4 wide crap. They would have been running around the track for at least another 5 to 10 minutes.....I didn't like it either... until I found out they only had one wrecker.
Let's go Sprint Car Racing!
Knoxville - Best Track In the USA!
Eldora - 2nd Best Track in the USA!
