We've had a lot of people asking about the availability of Still Wide
Open, a book Brad Doty and I published back in 1999. The book has been
sold out since 2004, although we are working on a reprint sometime in
2008.
However, thru a weird series of events we unearthed two cases of Still
Wide Open that have been in storage for four years. Some have already
been sold but as of this writing we have about 30 copies remaining.
If you are interested in obtaining a copy of this book call (317)
631-0437 right away. The books are available on a
first-come/first-served basis.
We also unearthed two cases of Hewitt's Law, but only three copies
remain at this writing. We are still awaiting the arrival of 200 or so
copies of Hewitt's Law from Australia in the coming weeks but do not
have a firm date on when they will arrive.
Thanks and Happy Holidays to all!

Dave, quit wasting time on what you've already done and get working on the next book!
(kidding of course about the wasting time part)
In the meantime, how about some recomendations for racing bios other than yours? What are you reading these days? Maybe it's something you can cover in your blog if you run out of idea's some Sunday night.
(Eckert, feel free to chime in yourself)

Dave,
I see where my VISA card was charged $36.00 on 12/7/07 by some outfit called "Books by Dave Ar". Can I safely assume that one of the copies of Hewitt’s Law that has already gone out is coming to me, and if so, do you have any idea how long it will take to get to Calif. and by what method of shipping it is coming?
Thanks,
Donald Vanoni

t_warrior, thanks and hope you enjoy the books.
Speedbump, okay, okay, I'll get busy! Actually my reading lately has not been much about racing, I've been enjoying some books on writing plus some historic titles. You know the book I'd love to read? Bentley Warren's autobiography. Wish someone would write it. I am currently working on several things (too many balls in the air sometimes), one of which is an autobiography with Bill Smith of Speedway Motors. Hope to have that one out this summer. I'm also trying to finish the editing and layout work on a book written by Pat Sullivan on the late Joie Ray, which is a very cool read. We hope that will be out in March or so.
Don, unfortunately I don't have any access to the info you're looking for. The folks at my printer (Print Communications) handle all the orders, processing, shipping, etc. You can drop an e-mail to: [email protected] for an update on your order. They typically ship books via USPS Media Mail.
Thanks all and hope you have a safe, wonderful holiday!
