1000% correct! The spectators come with the car, nobody goes to watch that race that doesn't have a direct affiliation to a car or driver and

Several people from my area went to the Boone Nationals that have no affiliation with a race car. Also quite a few have taken in some Late Model shows. Seems like the same ole answers every year, Nobody comes because of Football or this or that!!!
I have been going to Knoxville most every week since 1990 and to my recollection they have always ended the Season 2 weeks after the Nationals with an off week in between. Maybe, Just Maybe things have changed in at least the last 33 years?

You are correct Shortie12. The 'other track' they are talking about is currently being called 'Boone Speedway X2.'
They're looking at having the stands and tracks back-to-back (like a reflection in a lake), both identical, so when the races are all staged on one area, drivers will either go on to track 1 or X2.
Fans will have access to which either track they want and they're supposed to be a tunnel for them to go back/forth between depending on which race at which track they want to watch.
This is a real plan and currently in the works for 2024.
So it will definitely be a one-of-a-kind facility in the entire world - if it comes into reality.

Dont hold your breath.
From the bottom of the Speed Sport article: "This story is a production of IMCA and the Super Nationals production team and its satire was meant for both entertainment and to educate the world on the expansive growth of the annual event."

That is pretty sneaky, huh. But I like people thinking about options like this, as it would be quite the spectacle.
