Selinsgrove will be removing the tower from the infield and building a brand new one to put at the top of the new grandstands that will go the whole front stretch. They plan to move the old covered grandstands to the backstretch.

Also there is a possibility that the Raceway park could be relocated on the property. So that come 2025 Offseason they can reconfigure the track.

Old covered grandstands to the back stretch?   No way.     As for a reconfigure of the big track?  Nope.  Keep it as The Big Half Mile.   Looking forward to the future of Selinsgrove Speedway.  I'm sure good things are coming.

Don't reconfigure the big track, how about working on the infrastructure, last time I was there the track warning lights were not working causing delays. Four classes this Saturday is a bit more than I'll care to see also. I love the track and do support it when I can but lets try to make the current product better before reinventing the wheel.

I believe the speedway just recently posted that the Late Model race has been moved to next Saturday.

I didn't see that post. Wish they would reschedule the 305s instead.

Is there a source for this? I can believe it about the scoring tower because apparently that has something to do with ghettinmg an outlaw show. The other changes would cost millions of dollars. Who is the money source? I always wondered if there was room on the backstretch between the track and route 35 to fit the covered grandstand if they ever added high rise bleachers to the front strtetch. IMO a reconfigure like the one at Jackson or Sharon would be awesome. A smaller, racier, easier on motor track would almost certainly draw more cars. I think they would probably still have a weekly show with 360's/358's if the track was smaller.

Shorten the track and run Friday nights in conjunction with Port Royal would be the first upgrades I would make.

Keep it a big half mile.   The racing is good.

1. The place has a great surface and produces some of the best racing in pa.

2. Run some Tuesday night shows for all 3 big classes. Sprints, Slm, and  big block mods

3. Add, 358's, both sprints and mods. Build a class, treat them well.

Try to bring, allstars, woo, lucas in. Once people realize how good this track can be I think it would do well.

First things first, they need to learn to run an efficient show. Tonight there was entirely too much pissing around. It's nothing but a minor annoyance to me but for a lot of people, that will flat out keep them at home. Especially later in the year when it starts getting cool at night. Obviously they held off starting because of the accident that had some teams and fans stuck in traffic trying to get to the track and that's understandable but after that, they ran a terrible show and it's been that way every time I've been there this year. It won't keep me at home but there were a lot of pissed off people in the stands tonight.

Selinsgrove has always been that way as far back as I can remember. That's why I don't go.

I'm curious...what's the logic behind the 305's needing to be rescheduled?

Its just my logic. I think 4 classes is a bit much and the 305s usually draw a large field, I'm not a big fan of that division especially on big tracks, I don't mind them at Path Valley. I understand it is a somewhat affordable entry series, so are the legend cars but I won't watch them either. I just don't care to see a slow support division with 40+ cars, I would rather see street stocks with a support field of 20-28.

I feel that one of the best improvements they could make is replacing the announcer. He is straight up annoying.

So nobody likes Selinsgrove's announcer. Nobody likes Port Royal's announcer. Nobody likes Lincoln's announcer. Nobody likes Williams Grove's announcer.

Well I don't see any applications or interest being shown by anyone to replace them, so unless anyone is willing to step up and do it, there shouldn't be talk like this.

I do feel Tedd Reitz needs to announce somewhere if he's willing.
