Probably getting things ready for September in PA?
Let's go Sprint Car Racing!
Knoxville - Best Track In the USA!
Eldora - 2nd Best Track in the USA!

Likely preparing for Knoxville Nationals 2024 where folks on here are installing him as the early favorite.

This reminds me of the saying "be careful what you wish for". More racing means more grind and more money spent by the end of August. There are a bunch of teams sitting out Jackson that I expected to see. Long season and coming off the longest ten days of the season and here we are.

Over saturation of high dollar races is a real possibility.

The schedule on his website has him racing in Wheatland on Saturday and then Sedalia on Sunday for the $5,000-to-win POWRi 410 shows. I imagine he didn't feel the need to put the team on the road and run Jackson's prelim nights when he wouldn't be up there for the finals.

I know I'm a week behind with this thread but I missed all of Knoxville except the Saturday Amain. What exactly happened with Brown? Only saw he started 4th in the Bmain. Was he just slow all week? I'm telling ya right now, that guy won't ever win a Nationals. He often starts front row in a WoO race and goes backwards every single time. No way he could handle the pressure of being in the lead on Saturday late in the race.

He may be too busy making more commercials for his sponsors.

You know he actually has had the lead late in the Nationals A-main? It was either 2014 or 2015 he passed Schatz on lap 44 or 45 and led for a couple of laps before Schatz got back by...

That was 2014 when that happened. He also finished 2nd in 2013, but it was 2014 when he passed Schatz late in the race.

For those wondering why many think he has a chance at the Nationals, he actually finished 2nd to Donny 3 straight years. One year, he was 1/2 way up on Donny's car at the checkers. They're not nuts-----he actually had 3 great shots in a row to get it done and he nearly did.

2nd best three straight years to the “Almost King” isn’t to much to be ashamed of. Not first and that is the goal, but hey still really good.
Even though I may not know you, I
care what most of you think!

Yes, and I think at the very least, it justifies why some of the Brownie fans have high hopes when August rolls around.

It's not that Brown didn't have a chance to win in 2012-2014 (which is almost a decade ago) it's that he has no chance to win now and yet every June or July he's installed as a favorite for that years Nationals because he dominates weekly action or runs well in the June Outlaw show (when the top guys are either testing, don't have their Knoxville cars ready or aren't even there (Larson)).

He won the Outlaw race in Knoxville on June 9 and started 3rd so he doesn't always go backwards. I'd say winning in Knoxville a couple months ago give legitimate reason for thinking he could win.

I think you have a legit agrument as well. It was 8-10 years ago. And yes, installing him as a favorite is a reach at this point. After he finished runner up 3 times in a row, there was a legit reason for many to call him a 'favorite' for 2015. He's no longer a favorite. Does that mean he doesn't have a chance? No. He has a chance in 2024 if the stars align. However, you are correct----very unlikely with the top 10-12 cars that are showing up the last few years.

It's called the pressure, he knows the track, but he makes the statement searching the track. Running there week in and out that team should have an advantage on setup and what the track is going to do over most in the field. When the 21 comes to pa everybody loves to see him here, but I can't recall ever seeing him run well.
