Have to say as a Kville weekly fan this is the most excited I have been for a Knoxville Nats. There are 2-3 with a chance to win it and another 2 that could represent our locals well
Brian Brown. I think this could be the year he pulls it off. Being reuinted with Chad Morgan has proven to be the best decision hes made. I think its his to lose!
Austin McCarl. I look for him to be in the top 5. The big unit is in his prime and his dad working on the car has boosted his confidence
Aaron Reutzel. Always on the gas. He will be somewhere up there. Tyler Swank is one of the best in the business and knows what to do at the Nats
Dark Horses
Dave Heskin. He looks the best ive ever seen. Being teamed up with the Moros has taken a lot stress off him and he can just focus on driving. 5th to 10th
Chase Randall. Best up and coming young gasser in the sport. Taking his dad to set the 2ks up was key and they are getting better each week. I think theyll finish top 10

Hoseheads wouldn't be Hoseheads without the annual Brian Brown to win the Nationals thread. For about 10 years in a row, there has been a thread on here claiming that the Outlaws will really have to step up their game if they want to beat Brownie at the Nationals. And every year, without fail, the Outlaws "step up their game" and beat Brown at the Nationals.

Without a doubt these are the two fastest 360s at Knoxville right now. Should be fun.

Without a doubt Brown is the most capable of winning the big show out of all the locals. He's put it together quite a few times before for outlaw shows and could do it for nationals. Do I think he will do it? Odds are probably not. Everything has to go perfect for him which could happen but seems like something happens each year. This past Saturday I didn't think he looked great in the heat and just okay in the main. Don't bring that car come August. Go back to the Outlaw show car from this year. I hope he gets it done but with Gravel, Macedo, Larson, Sweet, and yes even still Don Don it's not easy task for anyone.

If there was a betting line (and there should be!!) on the Nationals that was Top 5 in WoO points and Kyle Larson +150 or the Field -200 to win the Knoxville Nationals, my money would easily be placed on the top 5 and Larson. Who wouldnt? Wasted money to bet otherwise I assure you.

It's great to be hopeful and I hope some locals do finish top 5. But saying 5 locals will finish top 10 leaves 5 spots for the Woo and CA teams. Kind of doubtful. I could see one local finishing top 10.
Even though I may not know you, I
care what most of you think!

FYI....just so we get things straight here John is not setting up our car do we talk about what he does to his 360 sure we do can we do the same things not really 360 to a 410 are 2 totally different things plus we have 2 different cars. John is very in tune with his combination I think Chase is one the best young racers I have seen and had in a long time knows what he wants to feel and provides alot of info to me unlike some I have had in the past who just say I dont know. It shows the talent Chase has I havent changed anything I have done in the past and with the right driver and crew combo it has to fit

Chase Randall has been truly impressive in any ride he has been in. Sounds like he poses a lot of racing knowledge and maturity even at a very young age. His future is bright. Good luck to the TKS team these coming weeks as I think they have the right driver in the seat.

Of the kville regulars listed I think reutzel is the biggest contender. And even he is a long shot at being top 5 Saturday.
Not a regular but I think rico might shake it up this year and challenge for the win.

Brown, Aaron, and Amac I think have the best chances to win it. There are others who can get into the A, and who knows maybe can shock us like Jason or Tim did.
Anyone in the top 10 or 12 at Knoxville can make the A main.
360's, are more wide open, Garet Williamson, Brown, TMAC, Randall, Reutzelled, Garner, Lynton, Pittman is entered, Ball, Amac, Rico.
Shane Golobic looked awesome last year too until he ran over a right right that slide out in front of him.
Keep It Real

Outlaws seemed a bit off in 2021-22 Nationally with Larson, Marks and Lance all winning Crown Jewels in that period. But even then they still scored 5 of the 6 podiums at the Nationals. This year they seem to be back to the normal levels so unless something weird happens on Saturday it's going to be tough for anyone other than Larson (and maybe Rico who's never been that good there) to beat them.

Let's not forget that quick timers DO NOT start in heat front row.

I was curious how the locals have done in the past, so I looked up past years. It gets a little hazy because there were years that the Madesn brothers were Knoxville regulars. Looking at results for the last 9 years, (that's all the further I went back before I got discouraged) there's nothing there to suggest that anybody other than Reutzel has a chance in finishing top 10. Not counting the Madsens, on average 3 local cars make the A-Main on Saturday.
Besides, isn't Reutzel posse?
