News this morning via Twitter. Macri has stepped away from the car it said and Lance will be running it at the Eldora Million. Just doesn't seem real to me? Macri would have be a contender for the Million easy.

This is awfully strange. Something is rotten in the state of Denmark.

Absolutely the craziest thing that's happened in my 40 years of being a fan.
Musta been a BIG fight with the old man.

I guess their plans were not set in concrete.

It was obvious there was a Father-Son spat. Hopefully cooler heads prevaill and Anthony is back in the seat soon. Seen this happen many times over the years with family owned teams.

Macri is supposedly going to run the #9 of Kasey Kahnes... and DeWease is in the 39M

Not according to the Macri Motorsports post on Twitter- "Anthony Macri has chosen to step away from the 39M"
I thought it was a joke when my buddy sent it to me.
Physical / Mental - maybe
Someone like Kasey Kahne offering big money to drive - maybe.
Still baffling.......

OK, I've got a guess here although I don't know my @$$ from a hole in the ground! If the rumor of Anthony driving the Kahne 9 is true, could that be turning into a full time ride and he's going WoO?

In the 9 or some other car and on the outlaw tour would make sense when the situation otherwise doesn't.
Maybe Joe Mooney is a double agent - on Nick Macri's payroll

This should be interesting, if Macri goes to another car. He has never had to be a true hired driver. He has always raced for his father. Unless he did something really stupid he would never get fired. But now he could be like all the rest of the guys trying to race for a living, one bad race from being shown the door. And what money is he bringing to a team, his Dad was the $$$ behind everything. Macri might be in for quite a shock in the cut in pay he is about to take. Dad was probably pretty generous with pay and bonuses. I 'm sure everything Macri had from car to cellphone was connected to the business for tax reasons. Maybe all that is gone and now he gets to find out how much it costs in the real world to live.

Macri has ran the Indy Race Parts 71, so he has been a hired driver before.
I don't understand why everyone thinks Kasey will put somebody in his car. The only time I remember him giving up his seat is when he's been injured. Am I missing something?

Remember the predicted fall he was going was going to take when the crew cheif left. He kept going. No body knows yet what happened or will happen. It is not as easy as some think for an ambitious young man to work for their dad. Been there. Done that. Quit. Went on my own. Everyone got over it and got along better when not working for him. I also think Anthony did his part to keep the money coming to the team.

Several thoughts:
- The Outlaws come to PA next weekend, where Macri in the 39M stands a great chance of winning some good $.
- Isn't he the/one of the winningest drivers in the country? Just recently cleaned house during PA SW
- Would imagine he and Dewease are pretty good froiends. The Kreitz 69k had to cancel unfortunately, so Lance was maybe looking for a ride at Eldora these next 4 days.
- Would all of Macri's sponsors be OK with him leaving that car the day of the richest sprint car race in history, and a week before a PA WoO swing?
.....I think it's April Fools come early and they are just putting Lance in a second car.
