I subscribed to Flo a couple of months ago and notice that at the finish of every race they cut to a wide-angle shot of just the finish line on the last lap rather than following the battles on the track. If there are any last lap passes you miss them. Also, they rarely do a full-field rundown of the finish of the feature so, unless a driver finishes on the podium, you rarely know where they finished. Not really complaining but as a fan I think those are areas for improvement.

Agree with original post. They are terrible at filming the finish.

I think its just the nature of the beast

You have to watch what the camera focuses on

Split screen helps, but its not the same as whipping your head around to watch all the action LIVE!

If I'm not mistaken, the Indianapolis Motor Speedway started that tradition of following the leader coming for the checkers then the wide angle shot of the checkers and flag stand. The camera was at the pagoda looking out toward the grandstand. It seems like every race in the world in all forms of racing does it now. I'm ok with it.

Moral of the story is, if you want to see what you want to see you have to be there. No one films a race the way I watch a race. I watch some on flo but it can't replace being there.

I find that this is the norm over all platforms.  You see it in F1, NASCAR, ALL racing broadcasters do the wide angle finish line.

My only real complaint is I'd like to know what they are actually charging me each year when the very sneakily auto-renew my subscription. I guess they raised it $20 this year which I expected, but it would be nice to know what the actual rate is and where they hide it.

I'd say it pretty clear the director/producer is either clueless or doesn't care about showing the paying customers what is really going on during the racing action on track.   They have multiple cameras following the action almost everywhere on the track, but still only show the flag stand at the end of every heat, consi, main, no matter what else is going on.   Just pathetic.

Thanx,
Bruce

One option would be to contact your credit card company and dispute the duplicate charge.

Another option would be to watch twice as many races.

I watch quite a bit on FloRacing and DirtVision because I live in Az and can't travel as much as I would like to see live races.  I often think they could zoom out a little more so you could see a little more of the action all over the track vs just following the leader or a lead battle.  Alot of it is based on where they can place cameras at different race tracks.  Another consideration are there are probably dozens and dozens of different production teams and they all do it a little differently.  I am not complaining at all because with not being able to get to very many races it is better than nothing.  But there is nothing like actually being at the track.  #imissmanzy

Myself and many others are in agreement with you. Have had multiple conversations with others about the zoom being so close. Heck last night when it's a two car battle the screen is cutting off the left front of the one car on the back stretch and the right rear of the other all while the two are catching the one in front of them. Just back it out a bit. Not saying I want to watch from a birds eye view but they make TVs pretty big and cheap anymore Smile

Edit to add since I bitch too much they say - I like flo and think it's still good coverage. Just a small suggestion or tweak that the general consensus seems to agree with.

It happened to me once (my mistake), and they fixed it immediately after I contacted them through an email.

Should have put it on a my charge card instead of my debit card. Don't have any recourse after money was taken out.  Been over 3 weeks and nothing but crickets from FLO

I've thought his with DV too, not only FLO, and other major companies do this too. I wish they would also zoom out or use split screen. I wouldn't mind zooming out during the race too.

I have one complaint at it pertains to every race they do. They have the running order  on the screen. I you want to write that down, you can't. They take it off the screen in a few seconds after the race is over. You are lucky to write down the top 5. Also they don't give you the verbal run down till later.

The Million was the first racing I've watched on Flo.  I liked the coverage.  I would have liked to see more of the battles back in the pack and they could zoom out a little on the cars they are showing (fills the screen with cars and gives no prespective as to where they are on the track).  I liked the podium interviews - quick questions and let the driver speak.  All in all, a nice change from DirtVision.

They send you at least one email weeks in advance of the renewel and it is in your user info throught the website. Stop blaming others for your laziness.
