It's still on Facebook, Twitter, etc? It's done raining through at least midnight more than likely.

Also not a good look when hunter shurenburg is shaking down a new car on a track that looks in really good shape on facebook page.

Word is WoO said they didn't want to fight it and 34 Raceway was okay with running. That's coming from some local 305 drivers who probably are in the know with management there. .09" of rain and rain held off until just after 9. Two classes shorten the program, run 305s last, hurry up mode, etc I think something could have happened and yes I'm salty. On to Knoxville tomorrow. been a wild year of being in a D3 drought and have had more rain outs than I can remember.

34 should be a midweek summer show. Too far to travel up to Wilmot which leaves them with a tight window to get the show in. The problem with rainouts these days is that they are rarely made up. Hopefully they make it up sometime in the late summer.

My phone says it's a 4 hr 5 min drive. That's comparable of Knoxville to Husets. I guess I don't get it because that doesn't seem bad to me Maybe different for others though. Why do you say 34 should be a mid week show? Not bashing your opinion as it may be a good opinion but certainly curious about it.

Looking back it's easy to see the weather and how you could make something work but at noon the day of the race if all the weather outlets are saying more rain and if you have a small track crew you can't make miracles happen.
Even though I may not know you, I
care what most of you think!

A couple of reasons, 1) as mentioned before logistically this race will also get the short end of the stick when it comes to beating weather becuase of the overnight travel. No team is going to want to run a race that ends at say midnight on a rough track and then have to go all the way up to Wisconsin afterwards. Not even defending that attitude as I think all races should be run if possible but that is clearly a factor and 2) Burlington is not exactly a hotbed for sprint cars so a midweek show would attract more travelling teams possibly.
