Soppose a traveling tour came around that featured older drivers who used to be very good, but retired or just cut back. Mixed in with them would be some guys like Sammy Swindell, or Danny Smith. Would you buy a ticket?

No. That's what Smoke is doing with SRX and I have no interest in it.

Yup. To see the old guys I've heard more about than I have watched and just because there are sprint cars available to watch. But I have such a small diet if real life racing I'd buy tickets to almost any sprint car event if in my area
Even though I may not know you, I
care what most of you think!

It would cost too much, but a good idea if i were billionaire. Put Steve, Sammy, Doug, and anyone else who can still go jn equally prepared 305s with their most iconic paint schemes, do a 12-15 race national tour.... I'd probably buy a ticket.

To be honest, I had to google SRX series to see what it was. That's fendercar IROC racing with a mix of old racers and young guys. I'm thinking more like sprint cars.

They had ledgens race at Lincoln several years ago. Todd Shaffer won it. I wasn't there but heard only a few of them really got up to much speed.

Same as Knoxville's Masters Classic, for over 50 year olds?

If it was all non active sprint car drivers I would definitely be very interested. Stewart's SRX was billed as former stars but I could not figure how Mikey Waltrip & Willy T Ribbs were considered Stars!

For sure an unpopular opinion, but Super Chuck has no interest in seeing his racing heroes injured. Watching the Masters Classic back in the day always turned his stomach when a 60-70 year old dude flipped his d!ck off. There is a good reason that most of these guys hung up the helmet, Father Time is undefeated. Let's just keep it a young man's game.

50 was way to young as guys like Danny Smith Lasoski Sammy and several others were still racing competitively and easy money. Leroy Van Connett climbed in one and Bob Kinser ran Gils car good to see them having fun but when things go bad there was a reason they werent still doing it. Golf carts would be a better alternative for those in their 70s

Not just golf carts, but golf itself. It's a boring game. There's only one entertainment for old people there - golf carts

Tons of people would buy a ticket, and then spend more money on cool retro/repro merchandise. How many youngsters or oldsters would love to have a cool old repro shirt from one of their dirt track heros? Run five or six races at high profile events across the country for a championship.
