I like Johnnys knowledge and fact sharing but I prefer Blake's voice and style a bit better. A little less over the top. Other two? Well this Canuck can't comment.
Even though I may not know you, I
care what most of you think!

I think all 4 would be great choices. I'd pick Chet myself because because he is real good during the down time also. Johnny studies very hard at his craft and works well with others in the booth too. But by a nose, I'll go A Chet

Gibson is very knowledgeable. I just wish he could calm it done a little, but it's obivious that's what the people he works for wants because it's the same on the slm telecast.

Johnny Gibson is the blow torch, how can a human being talk so fast and never make a mistake, I just wish we hadn't lost Rick Eshelman

I do not think you could go wrong with any of these guys. I find all 3 of them to be really good.

Does anyone else find themselves saying, "no that's not what's happening" or "not exactly" when watching a race called by one of these guys more than the others? I won't name names because I like them all. They all work hard at what they do and I respect that. I just find that one is often not accurate with his descriptions of the action more than the others. Am I the only one that notices that?

With all the streaming content available now you can listen to these guys basically every weekend from March to October. That's going to eventually lead to their voices, styles, inside jokes, shoutouts to friends watching etc....gettjng on people's nerves. Conversely sometimes they grow on you, I used to hate listening to Bokhoven now he's one of my favorites.

Sometimes they have to do that I suppose. When you have one of those races where the feature is half done and no one has made a pass for position all night, you have to really talk up that incredible battle for 6th place.

I enjoy all four announcers. They each have their strengths. That being said, I enjoy listening to Chet, but to be honest, I think I enjoyed his work more on FLO, prior to being the USAC announcer, especially in 2020 & 2021 when he would show up a some off the beaten path track announcing an IMCA Modified race, and you would swear he had been the track's announcer for years with all his knowledge.

I'd hire Earl Hoon Jr just to fire him.

If you could buy him for what he's worth then sell him for what he thinks he's worth, you'd be a very wealthy man. Never seen someone who sucks so bad at something who is so damn full of themselves. He's the absolute worst announcer I've ever heard by far. Still can't believe a top tier track like Port Royal actually employs him.

No, you aren't the only one that notices that. Watching Dirt Vision was a big eye-opener.
I'd hire Blake Anderson and have Tony Bokhoven in the pits. Johnny and Brian do a very good job. Not familiar with Chet.
