After taking a season off to focus on some family illnesses, the 1/4 mile high-banked Monarch Motor Speedway will be racing again in 2023!

There are currently 19 event dates, with at least one more BIG ONE to be announced.

Sprint Cars are on the calendar several times throughout the year and if you'd like to check out the new website, that includes schedule and much more, click:

ATTENTION MONARCH MOTOR SPEEDWAY RACING FAMILY & WICHITA FALLS RESIDENTS:

It is with much sadness, and sense of defeat, that we report to our racing family today that we are NOT going to reopen Monarch Motor Speedway in 2023.

To those of you who have already purchased parking and registration, we will be refunding those purchases by Saturday February 25. You will be refunded to the same source that you paid online by (fee free).

That being said, the question I’m sure you all have at this point, after such a strong kickoff campaign, is WHY.

There are several reasons why, but the primary component right now is one that the City is imposing on us with utilities.

We are reasonable people, but we feel we are literally being held hostage by the City in which could easily turn into a very large, and unnecessary, utility cost that could very well eliminate any chance our business would have to even break-even for the season.

Between the personal investment in time and cost that it takes to get the facility race-ready for each event, coupled with this sudden large unplanned (and unjustified) expense, we’ve decided it is not in our best interest to forge ahead.
