It's Saturday night and there is no racing. Guys you got to help me. Is their a 12 step program available? Wow, after the Oval Nationals and then the Kindle and then cold turkey, no racing. I think I feel the shakes coming on.

I feel your pain. Watch the Western Worlds replay on racenetwork.tv. That's what I did. It's a great show. This is going to be the longest two months of the year.

Hi Im Kevin and im addicted to racing! I have been addicted for 22 years, and I have been able to obstain from my addiction for a week and three days. (turkey night) Without this support group I dont know that I could make it through the holidays! The wosrt part of my addiction is that ALL of my friends and family are addicts too. The excitement of strapping a 700 HP sprintcar to my ass every saturday night is a way of life for me and I know nothing else. I think I need help!!!!!!
Kevin, (clean for 10 days)

I have been addicted to oval dirt track racing for at least 55 years. But I still can't get a senior discount at the PAS.

I believe that Kevin Olson came up with the program that you guys
are looking for in one of his articles in Sprint n Midget.
Unfortunately, I can't remember which issue it was. Better find it soon
before we go crazy. It should have all the answers...

Not that you guys deserve it, but here's a couple of ideas that will make the time fly:
- Take out the trash
- Put snazzy new tarps on all your half-done valuable projects out in the yard
- Organize your sock drawer
- Find all your CDs and put them back in their rightful cases
- Take your wife to see a romantic comedy, maybe two
- Do a Sunday New York Times crossword puzzle
- Find extra room in the garage to pile even more stuff you can’t decide wether to keep or toss
- Hang out at the mall and listen to kids screaming because they can't have what they want
- Go through all your tax filings from previous years
- Sit down with your wife and talk about things that interest her
- Watch Oprah or get a root canal (don't try both)
- Write a letter telling Santa why you deserve a fresh 410 in your stocking
- Get out all your diecasts and go varoom varoom while you roll them across the floor
Everything you know is wrong.

GREAT!!!! Now I have to make a decision. Do I complete the list that wallscraper posted or should I take my race car apart and freshen er up? God knows there aint time for both! Thats the worst part of the addiction for drivers and owners is that we still ahev to work on (play with) our toys but we cant take them out and race. Just for the record,.. incase santa is reading this post,.... I would be thrilled with a new CARCO 360 for X-Mas.
Happy Holidays to all race fans throughout the land! (even the F-1 fans)
