Probably a combination of less than stellar performance combined with new ownership of Drydene (budget issues too).
Now that decision doesn't look all that smart. Jacob has turned into a fine racer. Totally different attitude too. Jacob is one of the most liked drivers on the tour. Can't wait to congrats him on a fine CA swing at Eldora Friday night.

Why would Drydene need to sponsor 2 cars on the same team on the same tour? From that point of view, finanially it isn't a very smart decision. Logan was out performing Jacob. Who would you have chosen?

Seems like it's turned out fine for him. I think he'll be able to land some major sponsorship after how well he's ran this year. Losing sponsors and gaining new ones has always been part of racing.

I really don't need the "real story" to see with my own eyes that the 1a was not performing anywhere near the caliber of the 1s. So, if they decided it only made financial sense to fund one car, they chose the car that made the most sense. It was never really a big shock to me when I found this out...................................maybe I'm completely wrong, but that was my first thought. I don't know the real story, but kinda put 2 and 2 together immediately after it happened and moved on.

Kind of echoing what others have already said... the 'real story' is none of our business. I feel like in today's society, everyone want to hear about gossip and conspiracy theories. The real story is probably pretty boring. My guess is that a middle manager at Drydene figured out how to save corporate some money without losing some of their bang for the buck.

Well Jacob hasn't apparently dropped Drydene. His transporter loudly displays Drydene across both sides and the rear of his trailer. Jacobs name is displayed too. I've even seen several of his Drydene racing suits still being used. So if they dropped him, he didn't drop them.

Bobby Allen has always found ways that are very unconventional to say the least. You see scruffy at home or at the track during the nationals I'm sure if time allows he'd be more than happy to tell you the story. There probably going to pick up a fresh motor or 2 and I'm hoping this is the year shark racing is in the winner's circle at the open. By the way, I agree with whomever it was that said, is it really anyone's business ? He'll no !
