That was a plain-ass pass for the win last night at Pevely. Sweet got slowed up by lapped traffic and took the high groove in 3&4, losing speed. Macedo had momentum going into 3. He just turned down, passed Sweet, and kept on going. No slide job involved. Sweet didn't have to hit the brakes to avoid contact and he couldn't turn down on Scelzi to retake the lead as Macedo had left the scene.
*Note: I corrected the driver's name. My brain apparently threw a SLIDE JOBBBBBBBB!!! at me.

You mean Carson Macedo won the outlaw race last night. Scelzi was at Knoxville on Thursday night racing a 360.
Let's go Sprint Car Racing!
Knoxville - Best Track In the USA!
Eldora - 2nd Best Track in the USA!

I fixed it. Thanks
Slide hub?
Slide job:
Driver A enters corner high
Driver B drops low going into corner, passes (or mostly passes) Driver A and drifts up in front of driver A for the pass
Driver A has to hit the brakes to avoid contact.
Driver A then typically dives below Driver B coming out of the corner to retake, or at least try to retake the lead, as Driver B has lost momentum doing the slide job.
What happened at Pevely was Driver S losing momentum dealing with lapped trafiic while Driver M didn't lose momentum and passed Driver S in the middle of the corner for the win.

Driver B Spanked Driver A, when driver A got caught with his pants down to his knees jerking his Napa monkey.

Really ?.....Seemed to me that Brad got held up and raced real hard by Mr. New Zealand who was protecting going a lap down coming to the checker and forced Brad to the middle grove where he lost grip and Macedo took advantage of the opening. Guess you are not a fan of the three time Champion.

Macedo went full send on that one. Good pass for the win.
Sweet complaining about dumsney is laughable. Dumsney was hooked up while sweet blazed the tires down back chute. What's Dumsney supposed to do let off so the feral cat can get by.

Sweet was true to script, always someone else to blame, or the track, or the sun, or the moon, etc., etc.

According to Sweet (and there are others), once you are passed, you are supposed to either make way for the cars on the lead lap at all costs or just pull into the pits and call it a night.

In the old days most drivers were WW2 veterns. You fought the Japanese or German for 4 years and you were not going to take crap off of any one. If someone did a slide job and you had to brake to avoid contact or you bumped there would be fist flying after race. A.J. Foyt said back then you had to fight your way into the track and fight your way out. NASCAR feels it is ok to bump drivers out of way. It is approved way of passing and the fans love it.

Dumsney is Australian. At least know what you're talking about when you're sounding stupid on the Internet

Isn't that one of the worst things you could ever call someone from Australia? Mr. New Zealand? And vice versa...

i don't understand the hate for brad sweet. he seems like a really good guy. it was dumb for that lapped car to pass him back with a slider. not really sure what he was trying to prove there. that doesn't take anything away from what macedo did. that was a great move and he took advantage of the switching sweet was put into.
i'm guessing the hate for brad sweet is related to his success. race fans like a sweet spot of success. too much and they hate you. not enough and you're not good enough for their attention. i'm glad to see schatz running well right now. makes everything more interesting.

You might want to watch that again. Lapped car didn't pass him back with a slider. He stuck the bottom until corner exit when he hit a run.

Seems like a lot of computer jockey's on here are Posse fans who only appreciate Cars and drivers from PA and ridicule or find fault with most everything else including good drivers and teams who beat them on their own turf. I admire all the drivers who have the Balls to strap into a Sprint Car, Period !!!

Bingo. If you have too much success the fans start to hate you, plain and simple. The grandstands were on their feet when he was battling with Donny at Knoxville back in 18. Last year there was a mixture of cheers and boos when they announced Sweet. In 19 everyone was cheering him at Eldora when he won the jokers wild and kings royal because he was the one who was giving Donny a run for his money in the points. This year they cheered when he had a flat. My buddy that I go to Eldora with even said I want anyone but Sweet, Schatz, or Larson to win this year. I was like why you were cheering 2 of the 3 a couple years ago and he replied yeah but they have won too much and I just want to see someone who hasn't won win something for a change. Just an odd concept that we pull against greatness
I can accept the whole wanting someone new if you don't have any allegiance with a particular driver but the character attacks are odd. The work area conspiracies, and the willingness to blame for the few incidents that he is in and I think some have even said that they lost respect for him for insert whatever reason. It's entertaining at least

No hate here on any driver. Attacking character, maybe, but just wanting a person and in this case a driver to be gracious and honest when things don't go their own way (and by their own accord). Racing is about challenging man, machine, the track, etc. and therefore EVERYONE on the track is involved with this challenge. You don't turn off this challenge based on your position in the field. Brad questioned the driver he was about to lap in his interview following the race. REALLY? Marcus had every right to continue racing to the checkered. If you are the best in that given moment, then you should be able to handle a lapped car who is continuing to race. Remember, Carson was behind Sweet and substantially behind when they went into turn one of the final lap. This outcome was because of a poor decision by the leader. Sweet did not complete the pass because he could not get in front and then was spinning his wheels. Stand up and be accountable that it was YOU that messed up. I will reiterate, he is not the only one to have made these types of remarks in an interview and I understand the frustration experienced in the moments following the race. Particularly when the race is snatched with a bonsai and CLEAN pass by the winner and no malicious or dirty move by a competitor.
By the way, Posse has nothing to do with this comment. I do not live in Central Pa.

He is stand up and accountable and always says he makes mistakes. He even said in victory lane on Saturday that he only had 48-49 good laps and 6 bad laps but the crew had the car good enough to overcome it. He admitted he screwed up at Lernerville a couple years ago and a race where Sheldon got by him on the last lap as well. He has even said on the podium at times that he messed up on some starts that prevented him from having a shot at the win. All Friday was is a case of a competitor being frustrated about the outcome and anyone who has played any sport competitively has been in a similar situation when in the heat of the moment you are just ticked off at yourself and other people. All the same things have been said when Schatz was winning all the time but whenever he would finish 2nd or 3rd people would nitpick what he said saying he wasn't gracious in defeat. NO, it has nothing to do about not being gracious, it has to do with not being victorious and it is ok to be mad about not winning, I want that in a driver.
On a gracious in defeat scale of Mark Martin to Kyle Busch I would say Brad was closer to a Mark Martin. Not a full Mark Martin but told the truth about how he felt, was frustrated, didn't quite say he didnt get the job done but at the same time didn't act like everyone should bow down to him and act like a spoiled crybaby.
