So who is this driver out of California ? I think the 39 has become a ride that whomever has the money can have a try at it.

I appreciate it when someone says something this igornant. Allows me to put them into an "ignore" category going forward.
Sanders is has been the most consistent driver in CA the past few years. Very worthy of an Nationals ride. I doubt he has much (if any) 410 experience on a half mile track, but he's solid and won't disappoint.
There are several others wothy as well that have stayed mostly in CA. Guys like Kofoid have already ventured out. Corey Day is the youngest and should be making noise in the the next few years.

It's not going to make the Nationals no matter who is in it.

Hubris before the fall. I find it fascinating to see how people react in these situations. Some learn and grow. Others make excuses and whine. What happens here if Sanders advances to the show?

And for the record. My SpeedLabs shirt is one of my favorites. It's a high quality shirt and looks cool. They do a good job of choosing quality in materials and investing time into design.
I've bought a lot of shirts in wanting to help teams that have what I would call integrity. My last investment was buying a Sye Lynch shirt after spending about an hour talking to him and his dad Ed while at Dog Hollow this past summer.

I've heard Swindell and Abreu's merch sales are north of 500k.
|
I wouldn't be surprised if that was true for Abreu and Larson. Their shirts and merchandise are everywhere and sell out quick at the track, but Swindell? I don't think I've ever seen anyone wearing a Swindell 39 shirt.

People see what they wanna see. I assure you they're moving just as much. Probably more. It's why everyone is trying to copy them now. Raceline, Vaportrail, LR buried co, Tie Down apparell, Wing Slider merch, RR spacing Inc. (See how easy that was?) Speedlab was the OG and now everybody just taking racing terms and starting their own clothing line. Even though the rest of em suck. But nice try everyone.

dumbest post i've seen on the forums today. don't think Kevin rents the ride at all. And not knowing who Sanders is but being on a sprint car forum is pretty laughable.
Anyway, there he is, locked into the Saturday night A-Main. C-Bell probably wouldnt have done that in the 39 car. probably why he doesn't even try.

So, who buys the stuff and why?
|
Watched a podcast from Dirtrackr and had Mrs Swindell on. Swindell Speedlabs is into merch for teams that have anything to do with racing.
They print tshirts etc.
Covid hit them hard but have recovered nicely and hopefully are doing well.
With Rico doing what he does with merch it shows teams the potential tor serious revenue and other teams come on board.
Really nice to see the Swindells move forward after Kevin's accident and be successful.
