I am headed to PA this weekend for the first time in quite a few years. Any good tips on where to stay, close to the action? Also, any good tips on where to eat or drink over the weekend? I would like to support those that support racing wherever and whenver possible.
Thank y'all for the good advice that I know awaits me!

Carlisle is good. Stayed at the Microtel last year - nice and new, good breakfast. On Rte 74 -Easy to get to and from the track. State police had a big, bright sobriety check on 74 last year. Mechanicsburg good too. Any place on Rte 15 also easy

Yea, Carlisle has plenty of reasonable motels. Middlesex Rd. is an easy, countrified 15 0r 20 minute drive to WG... no Pa. Tpke tolls! Sometimes they have big auto swap meets in Carlisle too, you might get lucky, like Corvette Swapmeet or Ford swap meet
Lake Gifford Pinchot is close to BAPS, maybe 45 minutes from WG, another pretty drive & good place to swim, cause its probably gonna be hot
I don't now what kind of food you like, but there's good Thai place in Dillsburg, on Rt.15, maybe 5 minutes south of WG

Eastern motorsports museum, as the above poster stated, well worth the trip. If Paxton is there ask him if you can climb in the boop's aluminum special. Gives you an understanding of what it was like back in the day. Low-back seats, no headrest other than a pc of foam and electrical tape, pumps between your legs that got so hot you prayed one didn't spring a leak. Also, if you go, you can become a member, every donation helps.

JP,
eating and drinking over the weekend is my area of expertise. Here are some of the places I like.
-Red Robin, a chain restaurant with great burgers. There is one in Carlisle and one closer to the Grove. Big sponsor
- Mamma’s Pizza, Wellsville. a cool BYOB pizza shop between the Grove and BAPS. They sponsor Brent Marks and they own Matt Cambell’s 410. They would be happy to see you. My recommendation.
-Silver Lake Inn. Near BAPS. A dive bar with good food. They have their name on some racecars.
-Rock-It Pizza. Near BAPS. You can get a cold 6 pack here. They have their name on a lot of cars too.
Other recommendations. I haven’t seen their names on a car (but I still haven’t seen every sponsor on every car).
-Cold Springs Inn is within a mile of the Grove. Beautiful setting with outdoor tables overlooking Yellow Breeches Creek. Nice, pricy, beer selection but limited food options.
-Blue Sky Tavern - near BAPS. If you like the song you will love the setting.
enjoy PA !

Thanks for the reminder, I somehow forgot all about that. It will be a definite stop for me!
