Wonder if the Outlaws will allow their drivers to complete? I'm thinking they won't. Unless they step up to the plate and update their purses, I see this hurting the series.

The 3 time and defending champion is involved so we'll see. With the money involved, I don't see how the WoO is going to have leverage to keep them from doing it.

Remember when the Outlaw teams cried about too many midweek shows and too much travel? Pepperidge Farm remembers. :-)

Brad says he's going to race the series and hopes that they work something out with WRG.
Cool idea, but I could have come up with a better name than "High Limit". And that logo! Atrocious!

Here's the full press release from the High Limit Sprint Car Series: https://www.highlimitracing.com/announcement
Here's the big takeway:
Of the 12 events, two marquee events are planned to feature a $50,000-to-win and $140,000 total purse. The other ten events will pay $23,000-to-win and $80,000 in total purse. Plus, the series offers an end of the year points fund totaling $120,000.
They're talking about some dough!

Since Brad is involved, I highly doubt the outlaws will play hard ball....As long as the dates don't conflict with outlaw races.

WoO drivers are allowed to compete at tracks on the WoO schedule as long as it doesn't interfere with the WoO schedule, right? Interesting how WoO dipped into traditional sprint car racing, tire scandals and all, Now someone is dipping into the WoO milk and honey. Might be Karma?

Racing America's article has more quotes from both Larson and Sweet including info about the Outlaws letting drivers race: https://www.racingamerica.com/news/dirt-cars/kyle-larson-brad-sweet-launching-midweek-sprint-car-series
Of particular note:
The events will be scheduled so they do not conflict with any World of Outlaws or All Star Circuit of Champions event, but Outlaw full-timers would not currently be allowed to participate under the current Platinum Agreement that championship eligible drivers must adhere to in order to receive purse and contingency money.
Sweet, the three-time and defending World of Outlaws champion with Kasey Kahne Racing, intends to race in the series next year and hopes to work out an agreement with World Racing Group to allow all the biggest names in the discipline to participate.
"The way the platinum agreement is structured now, we couldn’t race but I plan to race," Sweet said. "We’re not going to race against the Outlaws, and I think this is going to be a huge positive for all racers but we’ll have to see how everyone reacts to the announcement."

I've said this before but WRG made a big mistake not doing a mid-week series of their own. Now Flo has 2. They'll have to put some serious money in to keep the drivers from racing in it and I don't think it's in their best interest to do so.
This must have been what Schatz was referring to when he said the streaming money was coming to sprint cars in an interview he did a while back.

This really dicked the Jackson Nationals. To bad they did not work out a deal to race in Spencer, Ia for the 1st race, that could have really made Jackson into something by keeping the teams close. But nope

Do not underestimate that this is, at its core, a battle between the two streaming services airing dirt track racing!

Its good news for the sprint cars something had to be done as they were falling way behind the late models in opportunities to run for big money other than woo and a handful of all star shows

What's this, go-around #4?
1)USA
2) One I can't remember started by Fred Brown?
3) NSL
4) New & Improved 4.0
Every time someone says they're going to take sprint car racing to the next level, I just shake my head.

I betcha WRG is sitting back waiting on there schedule to be released. Once that happens there going to schedule right on top of this new series. I think it's great for the racers, dirt track racing in general, especially sprint cars need more good paying shows. The only thing I don't like about is, wasn't it just a few yrs ago when the racers where saying the schedule is to big and they wanted less dates. Hummmmm .

If you think this is not going to be seen as competing directly with the WoO, I think you're going to be disappointed. WoO will see it that way and penalize teams and tracks that stray from their influence. This is a money game, and it's going to get ugly.

What is really going to hurt it is when Larson & Sweet win most of them the rest of the country is not going to travel a long distance for third on back money.

I just read the story on SprintCar Unlimited on today's announcement of the new series. I commend Larson and Sweet on why they want to start a series and the reason behind it. But if the goal is to get more money into sprint car racing why not work with the WoO/WRG to have the 12 special mid week races within the current series and schedule. If the end goal is to help racers get more money then work within the current system.
But I would say the real reason behind starting a series is ,as Tom Cruise said "SHOW ME THE MONEY"
The France family are billionaires from owning a series. Liberty Media bought F1 because owning a series makes money. If owning a series didn't make money , why did WRG buy the Outlaws. I know High Limit is just starting but so did France/Nascar in 1949.
So they say the purse will be $80000 most races. With Larson's name appeal they will sign a series sponsor that will cover another of purse and point fund. God Bless America the land of capitalism.
Also doesn't this sound a bit like Steve Kinser in 1988 and the start of USA Sprint series?

They fell behind a long time ago. This will keep them from falling even further behind.
