based on his twitter page he took last weekend off but will be at eldora. probably won so much he figured he earned a break especially with some long weeks coming up.

There's no bigger disparity between purse and prestige than the Doty, but that ship has sailed, glad it's at least $15k now.
Brent and others were smart to skip what is essentially a standard WoO show plus $5k to save the equipment for Eldora.

The BMR team will be locked & loaded for Eldora. I've got him down for a clean 4 night sweep with Double D finishing in the bridesmaid position all 4 nights as well. Everyone else is racing for third.

Agree on the doty being way overhyped for it to be a regular outlaw purse structure until this year. Maybe Marks just wanted to rest and relax a few days after he ran almost 11 days straight and made alot of money doing so and 5000 sure isnt big money when it costs 2 to 3000 a night just to run!

Brent Marks does not get enough credit for what he is doing right now.
In my opinion he is the best racer in sprint cars right now. He may not be the best driver , but he is the best all around driver out there now. He drives the car, sets up the car owns the team, heck he even drives the truck.
Just consider what he is up against and what he is accomplishing. Brent doesn't have a big name crew chief watching the car on the track for him and waiting to debrief when he gets out of the car. He doesn't get to.come in talk a little and then go in the trailer and get a drink and relax. He and his crew are always working. Name any other name driver who could do what Brent is doing without a crew chief?
Even if he only podiums in all the races this week, look at what he does and all that is on his shoulders compared to others.
What the last racer to be his own crew chief and have much success was Sammy Swindell?

What are you talking about? Heath Moyle, Brett's car chief, is a well respected and well known mechanic. Give the man some credit.

what a great track last night!!!
They have been really paying attention to the surface and trying to get the best out of it.
Seems like tires are falling apart at any size track there at .
Starting 14th and winning $100,000 is amazing work behind the wheel.
for a few laps I thought Rico might have found enough to win but 3rd was great finish.
Tyler just flys around that track.
2 more awsome days of racing at the BIG E.
with $175,000 to win saturday !!!

Right. Car chief means he sets it up the way Brent tells him to. Not saying the guy can't work in a sprint car, but Brent makes the calls on setups. Car chief is mostly maintenance.
