I think at this point in order to grow the car count they ought to follow the LM format which is double features on prelim nights. I think that would add another 10 cars if 48 drivers made A Mains each night instead of 24.

Double features never allow the best to compete against each other in those nights. Id does give some less funded teams more opertunity to finish further up in the field though in each. Me, Id rather see Davenport and Overton race each other every night than in separate races on first two nights.

Difference is late models get 100 cars so Davenport may or not be racing overton field is still stacked no matter odd or even and I dont think racing 2 features would draw any more sprint cars to be truthful
