Just a couple comments on Larson.

When Lance Dewease was on our podcast he reffered to Larson as the (Larson Affect) and when we had Danny Lasoski on our podcast he called Larson (Baby Jesus).  Larson definitely has the respect of all the drivers.

Lastly the Folkens Bros Trucking being his sponsor is so awesome.  If you don't know Folkens Bros Trucking is located in the Village of Lester which is about 250 people.  Not 2500 or 25,000 or 250,000 people.  Population is 250 people.  Well ok they are 2 miles out of town but how awesome is it that one of the main sponsors is from a Village.  The Folkens family is pretty dang awesome.

Does he even have any outdoor midget races on his schedule this year?. I could be wrong, but I do not remember him running the USAC Midget Week in 2021 like he did in 2020. Anyone know his upcoming schedule?

Back to Larson......

I know he can race most divisions with success, I'm not questioning his skill.

But I wonder how much money, if any, he is putting into the program for horsepower or quality equipment. Could he find an advantage through money that Kasey kahne or Tony cant or wont?

And if he is spending some of his money I wonder if he will own a team again. Probably be wisest to own himself as a driver but the points championships would not be the thing.

So 2nd question, if you run a tru outlaw schedule and do good taking the big money most places, is that better financially than commiting to one point fund?

Just some thoughts to hey back to Larson or st least racing...

1.  I don't think his money is much of a factor in the success of the #57.  He has said on more than one occassion that Paul runs a tight ship when it comes to finances.  He does not have the disposable income (or even close to it) that Kasey and Tony have----so I can't see him using his own cash to fund much of anything other than his trips to and from the tracks.

2.  When it comes to the question of whether or not he will run a full-time outlaw schedule or hit big money shows, he has been very upfront about his desire to run the full Outlaw schedule and run for a championship.  I think he has also been pretty clear about the fact that he will not do this until his financial ducks are in a row.  So, what makes the most sense at that time will not matter----because he doesn't plan to do it, until he can afford to do it right.

Kyle Larson is loaded when compared to most of us on this board----he makes a LOT of money.  However, he is not loaded when calculating the amount of cash it would take to drag a sprint car around the country for the next 30 years. He's not in that place right now.  If he did that now, he would end up with the same retirement as me.

I'll never forget that day you brought your Barbie collection in for show and tell. When the teacher snickered, you went into a rant about how you were just gonna take your Barbies and go to Hershey. No one took you seriously until the movie "Barbie Goes To Hershey."

You showed us all.

Please accept my apologiges for posting about Kyle on a Kyle post.  I knwo that's breakig the rules.

I went down to Attica Friday night. Congrats to Macedo for winning the human class. What makes Larson the best is the fact that he wins in literally everything he drives when most all equipent is equal.  He wins when the entire field is within tenths.  Wing, non-wing, midget, silver crown, various stock cars, road race cars, derby horses, you name it.  The equipemnt is all the same.  The driver is the difference.  Firday night, that was clear in both the dash and the feature.  When others have been dominant, it was during times where very few were actually competitive.  Most of Kyle's A mains are agaist fields where literally every car and driver has won.

Ok sorry.

Highjackign a recent Kyle Larson posting.

He won with Modifieds at Eldora last nightr.

That makes, midget, silver crown, traditional springs, winged sprints, napcar dirt trucks, now mods.

What's left that currently runs Eldora: Late Models for 8 classes.

Classes he's not likely to win at Eldroa, Push-Truck races (seen them race & wreck), Hot laps ask (Ask Mark Long and Dwain Liber), Big Block modifieds & Motorcycles (flat track).

What classes am I missing, that've ran at Eldora?

Who besides maybe Hewitt, has won more than 4 classes (4 in one night) at Eldora?

Eventually everyone is running the same equipment, it's just how much of that equipment do you have.

I don't think kyle has superior equipment to the other top drivers, in any series, he's just that good. Probably the best we've seen for a few decades.

I wouldn't be completely surprised to see Kyle own another sprint team, however I think that funding is going towards the High Limit Series.

I seem to recall Paul Silva posting a pic of the RR they had just won on which was in its third night in service.  Paul Silva and Kevin Rumley have great equipment, but I don't think either of them are spending anywhere near what the top teams in the respective series are to get the results they are getting.  Larson is worth a couple tenths a lap on sheer talent that other teams are spending $$$ to get in HP (sprints) or shocks (late models).

i used to think getting into a sprint car was the most dangerous thing he does.  after seeing the side of his car break at talladega yesterday...i'm not so sure.  tv seemed to be making the excuse that ryan preece accelerated so maybe it was a worse hit than we've seen before.  getting t-boned at a restrictor plate race is par for the course.  definitely some issues that need to be addressed and all the more reason to let these guys drive other cars.
