I'm kind of surprised this hasn't been brought up yet, but probably shows the age of all of us more than anything.
Iracing which seems to becoming a bigger deal each year announced they're moving into the console realm with their first title being the World of Outlaws. (click link)
I don't see they've announced many details about the game, but Monster was acquired by Iracing a couple of years ago. Monster makes many racing titles already which some include the most recent sprint car game released. IMO it was a little lackluckerster because of the physics.
Something to look forward to in the fall once race season is over.

I was going to bring it up but figured the average age of this board is about 106 and thought again.
I am excited and hope the game has good physics like the 2002 game which took time to master and rewarded you for taking different lines into the corners and having the right setups. And even still I rarely beat Sammy when he was hooked up, haha

Personally I think this is good news. I don't have time to invest in iRacing nor do I want to spend the money. I enjoyed the old Ratbag games as it allowed me to just race when I felt like it. I didn't have to run a season or a career, although I usually did that in the winter when I had more free time. I'm sure it won't be on par technically with iRacing, but so what? To each their own.

Played the new WoO game at my brother in laws a handfull of times. Didn't care much for the feel. Tried assist and no assist And didn't like both. Was using a controller and not a wheel though. Late models and stock cars are actually more fun on that game (don't tell anyone I said that). After doing that a few nights I decided to whip out 2002 for PS2 and damn it was so much better. Seriously. Felt like home. I literally want just that game with newer graphics and tracks and maybe some newer drivers. I do think the newer game had good graphics and driver selection and I believe the career mode was extensive but don't have personal experience as that's just coming from the BIL. Didn't feel the need to update consoles yet anyhow. Sticking with the PS2. Never play the woo for ps3 anymore. That was worst of the three.

You need to get a wheel and drop the assist level slowly. It's a different feel with the controller.

Lays rubber every night and you choke on a lot of dust. Especially on Port or the Ohio tracks.
The game says they monitor and tech the top finishers but we all know the big wig sponsors of the series are paying good dollar to keep their secrets and advantages safe For those top teams.
