wagner slid macri coming out of 4. macri tried to cross over and clipped wagner's rear end...spinning him out. looked like a racing deal and i'm amazed it doesn't happen more often. you could argue macri could have cut him a break and let him in. i think marks cut macri a break in the same situation for what turned out to be the winning pass by macri.
that's probably the difference between a vet like marks who's been out on tour. i remember schatz giving dietrich room at bridgeport when he could have chopped him. those guys have points racing and a bigger picture to think about.
wagner wrecked shortly there after and climbed into macri's car to yell at him during the red flag. he would probably tell you he should have waited until he calmed down from his wreck to settle things. he'll be racing macri all season so i don't blame him for trying to clarify whose house port royal is.
i don't have a dog in the fight to be honest. we could use a good rivalry since the montieth/dietrich feud disappeared. i'm sure there are other rivalries...but they're probably more behind the scenes and macri/wagner are two of the top drivers at port. it means more when it's the best going at it.

Wait a minute. What were you doing even watching since you obviously hate the place so bad? Crawl back under your rock at Lincoln.

He was watching some good racing in 3 top divisions. Someone is going to teach Macri a lesson. He chopped DD at lincoln, he gave Wagner no chance. It's a long season.

great job by port to get that show in and in a timely fashion. something like 11 heat races and 4 consolations. we left after the modified feature and it was around 6:30. they got started a bit late too.

I saw it live and just watched the video. I wasn't sure watching it real time but watching the video Macri may have turned to go back under him an inch or so too early ( his front wing was not damaged so it was close enough to be hard racing) but; who was it that came the whole way up the track coming out of the turn? He has a habit and I am sure there are a few drivers would agree of putting guys in the position of either lift or get wrecked. This time he got the short end of stick but he should know by now that Macri is not going to lift to let someone drive by him. It was hard racing could easily been the other way around as hard they run each other. And either would have been pissed at the momentif it had been them. No one intentionally runs someone into that wall.

So what you are saying is that in an adrenaline filled sport and situation one driver went over to another driver and had a heated discussion probably using some words that you may not want use in an elementary school classroom, and didn't keep his hands to himself but in the end no one was hurt? I don't really see a problem and if anyone does then I suggest they don't watch hockey and order a shirt with the quote, "I just hope all teams had fun."

HUGE...lol. People whine about cookie cutter corporate racers then one shows some emotion and it's a HUGE problem and snowflake get's offended. The reality is if it was someone giving Lance a piece of their mind you'd be all for it and you know it, even though you will deny it.
I'm just glad you enjoyed the awesome racing provided by the racers and the track crew Sunday.

The move that Macri made on Wagner looked like a play out of the Fred Rahmer hand book....lol

No harm, no foul on either deal yesterday. A slide job from left field to right field happens all the time at the Port. It was a racing accident with the crossover from Macri. An 1" or 2 was the difference in the outcome. No harm, no foul!
Wagner & Whittal accident was not shown on replay so not sure who did what to who if anything like that happened. Whittal came over to check on a furious Wagner, but he was rebuffed.
Wagner gave Macri a piece of his mind & I saw no punches so what is the big deal? Plenty more races this year & things like this will happen. Logan got his feelings hurt & Macri said nothing about it Victory lane.
JUST A RACING DEAL....

It's some real small dick energy to go after someone that is strapped in when you caused the situation to begin with. Maybe Logan should put that effort in to being more than a one trick (track) pony.

Yea, it was like Logan was playing chicken with Macri & guessed wrong
I had a discussion with an IOW friend about what constitutes a "Clean" or "dirty" slide job (he's been watching this MUCH longer than me) He said if the "slider" forces the "slidee" to slow down or wreck, its dirty. If somebody cuts me off driving on the road & makes me slow down, it pisses me off... but this is competition. Any thoughts?
I don't think Logan could have done much harm to Macri with his helmet on, but he did reach into the car, thats pretty damn close to fighting. I'll leave it up to the officials at Port....
So I'm not taking sides on either issue, but i do have one opinion: Macri is becoming the best full time sprint car driver in Pa........ (Lance not "full time")

I don't care what two drivers they are, they could be named A & the other B and I could not care less. One driver (who later has admitted he got frustrated, spun the tires and got into the other) spun a driver out, the other driver ran up yelled, screamed, and for what little physical contact that happened bruised the ego more than hurt a body. Most likely knowing how drivers and teams are these days, Logan probably figured that was his only opportunity to get to Macri because if he tried in the pits then most likely he would have to deal with the whole team, or the other driver hiding in the trailer. That is the problem at all levels of racing anymore is that the whole teams get involved instead of letting the drivers settle it themselves. Let the drivers go and have the teams stay out of it. If you are afraid of confrontation and do not want to get popped in the mouth after the race then maybe you should not do the action on the track that causes that reaction. Maybe then more drivers would have a little more respect for each other's well being.
However in this case, I think everyone is blowing this way out of proportion.

So climbing in and running up constitute fighting in PA? Must be a state full of bad dudes if that makes a fight.

So you're saying he should quit his full time job? The job of which allows him to race at one (sometimes two) days a weekend? He doesn't give a shit if he's a one track wonder, he won over 50K last year at the Tusky + whatever the track title pays and numerous races.
Furthermore, he didn't cause the situation, he cleared him. Macri appears to have gotten crossed up and got in to the back of him. May have been a racing deal, but Logan should be mad, he got turned running 2nd with time to go to get to 1st.

This reminds me of a boring story. Many years ago, at a dirt track on the upper plains...
There was some on-track altercation between twoif he sprint car drivers resulting in one of the cars not being able to continue. The agrieved driver was a little guy. As the other driver, a big guy, sat waiting to be refired, little guy runs up and puts his face inside big guy's cockpit and starts yelling. Big guy has all his racing equpment on including arm restraints. Big guy reaches over and grabs little guy around the head and yanks him into the cockpit as far as he can. This leaves little guy still screaming, but now kicking his feet up and flailing his arms trying to get loose. Eventually, the officials convince big guy to let go of little guy. I wonder if little guy had to say he was sorry, or if he just had to say Uncle.
