That is my complaint about Port Royal. Pack it tight without enough water and it is an asphalt surface at best.

So how many hours a day do you spend worrying about the Port Royal track prep? 24?

Strawman. STOP. Everyone knows you don't care for Port Royal. Just go on to the next thread and quit the bitching. You are totally out numbered when it comes to anything that happens at the speed palace. My money is on you sitting at home and watching every lap. Bye

So, you and tenter both feel that Lernerville is not what it once was. It's easy to make a generic statement, so please give us the reason(s) why it is not what it used to be. I posted earlier just some of the things the Tomson family has done to the track as far as improvements. While it still needs other things done, it is not being neglected. Do tell.

2006 check versus 2021 check. That's one thing they could improve on.

All depends on the event. This year the firecracker late model show paid $30,000 to win, next year it pays $50,000 to win.

Does anyone have a problem with the WRG double standards?
This not a post with any problems with Port Royal Speedway. But it is questioning the standards by which the WRG holds tracks . How do they award races?
Supposedly the reason Lernerville lost its Outlaw races was due to switching to a Lucas race.
Did anyone happen to look at Ports just released schedule. Port has its largest payout late model race and it is a Lucas race. Also Port has a high paying Dirt Modified race and it is a STSS race which is sanctioned by WRG/DIRT biggest Rival.
Plus all of Port Royals biggest paying sprint races are all sanctioned by the ALL STARS.
So Port has most of its biggest races of the year sanctioned by WRG's biggest competition and the reward for doing that is to be awarded additional WoO sprint races.
But Lernerville switched a late model race and wanted to add a WoO late model race ( just like Port has) and keep the WoO sprints as the two highest paying sprint shows at the track. And for that kind of "disloyalty " Lernerville got castigated.
Things that make a person go hmm? And why did Lernerville really lose its races?
Anyone else see the double standard?

Don't go bringing logic or the word double standard when talking about Port and what happened at Lernerville. It will make some people very nervious on here. Just sayin..........

I don't think it's having a race with another sanction, I think if Lernerville wanted to have a Lucas Oil race in May, I doubt they'd have lost their WoO races. I think it was the promoter surprising the WoO by just switching the sanctioning on the biggest LM race without having a meeting or whatever. This is a quote from the promoter of Lernerville:
“One of the things that happened here was the Lucas series was working on their schedule more aggressively on the clock than the World of Outlaws are. We will be having discussions with them about renewing the sprint car races, and if there is a proposal that comes along for another World of Outlaws late model race, who knows where that may lead? Right now, the World of Outlaws are not yet planning their 2022 schedule where we can have those discussions just yet.”
So it seems like Lucas Oil reached out, offered more money and they took it without understanding how that might effect the sprint car side. Which to me is idiotic, but who knows?
There was also talk that Lernerville wanted more of a cut of the streaming dollars, but not sure if there is validity to that rumor.
