What a loss to so many. My sympathies first and foremost go out to his family. Truly a remarkable man as indicated through the respect and honors received in the racing community and beyond. Doug communicated with me on several occasions about delivery issues and he is someone I had hoped to meet to talk sprint car racing.

Sad and shocking news. Doug was quite the journalist, all the way from Open Wheel to Sprint Car and Midget. He knew way more about racing than just writing about it. RIP.
