Oh yeah, SOONERS all the way, baby!! It's been such a CRAZY year, tho, who knows. You can't predict anything anymore. One dang fumble and ..... POOF!! There goes the season. frown (Thanks a lot, AP.) But still, beat the Aggies and you win the South and play for the Big 12 Title.

GO SOONERS!!!!

Let's Go Racin'!!

Bedlam weekend. The way the Sonners have been playing, they're probably gonna get stomped by OSU. And then by Kansas.......

Hate to tell you this Bucky, but if the Sooners lose to the Cowboys.......they won't have to worry about being stomped by Kansas or Mizzo!!!!! Only way they'd get to play them is if A&M beats Texas. If the Sooners lose to OSU, and the Longhorns win, Texas will play in the Big 12 Championship game.

I'm thinkin OU - although I also think the weather conditions will play a big part. As cold as it will be - there will still be passing - but not as much I don't think - and even with DeMarco Murray out - the run game gives OU an advantage. If OU stops the cowboy passing game - ou could win by 3 scores or more - if they don't - game will remain close. OU is lucky that this game is in Norman........I think that makes a big difference.

Prediction : OU wins 31-24

the better question leading into saturday - is the national title picture. If the winner of Mizzou-Kansas beats OU/Texas in the Big 12 title game - THEY WILL BE IN THE NATIONAL TITLE. I don't care what these "experts" (yeah right) say. The only way West Virginia plays in BCS Champ game if for the winner of Kansas/Mizzou to lose in the big 12 title game.......and that also has to happen to give Ohio State a shot - along with West Virginia losing to UCONN Saturday. Honestly - I'm rooting for both Jayhawks and Tigers. It's such a suprise. WHo woulda thought back in August that the Kansas vs. Missouri game would be the biggest game in ALL of college football for the whole year? because of the 2 vs. 4 matchup leading into conference championship week it really is. It really is something. That Colorado, Nebraska, and K-State all suck now - and Kansas and Missouri are both national top 5 teams. No matter how you slice it - at least the big 12 north looks respectable again.

and also - Heisman winner? no clear cut favorite since Dixon (oregon) went down. I say if Missouri wins out and goes to National Title - Chase Daniel WILL win Heisman........otherwise it will be Florida QB Tim Tebow.......but whichever team goes to the National Title (it's completely up in the air) between Kansas, Missouri, or West Virginia - I believe that teams quarterback will be a strong heisman candidate. Pat White for W.V. - Daniel for Mizzou, and even Kansas qb that I can;t remember his name has had a great year.

One thing is a lock - The Fighting Mangino will win Big 12 and National Coach of the year. Remarkable what he has done with Kansas Jayhawks.......amusing that not many in Jayhawk nation are thinkin basketball right now. Who'd a thought that?

thanks for bringin that up Larry. That LSU game was a real pleasure to watch. B?C of OU loss to LSU on their home field in the title game a few years back (New Orleans might as well be Baton Rouge).....and because of Les Miles. But bias aside - I have to admit Les Miles has been very overlooked for long time. He made a lot of calls that had them in title hunt for most of the year - now it will be interesting to see what his future will be the Michigan job now open. I was as happy to hear about Franchione resigning (FIRED) as I was to see Texas get beat. Mack Brown don't seem that great now that Vince Young is gone. And Colt McCoy is shooting blanks. lol.

This game I'm watchin right now looks to be a shootout........19Boise State AT 15Hawaii. Ya'll check out these scenarios. The winner of this Boise game very well could get a BCS game bid. And if OU wins Big 12 title they will get one too..........there remains a possibility of a Fiesta Bowl rematch between OU and Boise State. Providing things go down a certain way of course. Boise is up 14-13 now in the 2nd quarter.

With the LSU loss..............if West Virginia beats Connecticut tomorrow they WILL be in the National Title no question. take that to the bank. The Kansas/Missouri and Big 12 Title game remain the deciding factors for the rest of it.......and with LSU down - if winner of KU-Mizzou game loses to OU in Big 12 Championship - It would be Ohio St. and West Virginia in Title game. But I'm again sad to say - I'm kinda rooting for the underdog to win that Big 12 title game. I'm conflicted. Like I always say - I'm a fan of college football first - fan of OU second. And I would like to see a big 12 team in the national title game............I can't stand Ohio St. and don't think they are even a top 10 team (easy schedule though). Missouri would be perfect against West Virginia. Missouri beat the Illinois team that punked Ohio State in Columbus. Sorry Mike......................lol

Has Missouri or Kansas played anybody this year. Granted Missouri did play Illinois and beat them but that also was early in the year. Illinois has gained strength. The more they play the better they get. Ohio State has played Wisconsin, Penn State, Michigan, Michigan State, and Purdue who all was rated in the top 25 at the time they played Ohio State. I think Ohio State also has the number 1 defense in the nation. If Ohio State had lost to Illinois early in the year, Ohio State would have already clinched a spot in the Championship game. LSU on the other hand has had a tough schedule. OU also has had a sissy schedule, but right now I am an OU fan. LOL

OK, so how does everyone feel about OU's chances on a re-match with Mizzou? Mizzou beat themselves in the first game.........

Orginally the big ten was just that 10 teams and they all played each other every year. Now they have 11 teams. They added Penn State a few years back. The only two teams that Ohio State didn't play were Iowa who was 4-4 and Indiana who was 3-5 in the Big Ten. They are also teams in the Big 12 that neither Oklahoma, Kansas, or Missouri played. Ohio State I feel did play the title game in the Big Ten when they played Michigan and also when they played Wisconsin as Wisconsin was also undefeated in the Big Ten at the time Ohio State played them. Actually the Big Ten should be called the Big Eleven. This Saturday I will become an OU fan for one day only.LOL

the tragedy if Ohio State goes to the National Title is that Michigan would play in the Rose Bowl. Michigan Sucks. And I pray the refs for the big 12 title have no big 10 ties. I'm sorry but the big 10 was the most overrated conference in the nation. along with the ACC. The ideal championship matchup is Missouri and West Virginia......neither has a standout defense - but they both have amazing offenses. Pat White, Steve Slaton, and Chase Daniel.......it would be an entertaining game for sure. I still don't think Ohio State is a top 10 team.....but I do think they are remarkably good for losing all the seniors they did. But I have to disagree with you Mike - I think West Virginia would tear Ohio St. a new one.......but then again - the Buckeye defense is their MO. But not many have figured out a way to stop White and Slaton simultaneously. When you stop 1 the other goes off next.

So - I can't go against OU...........but yeah I would rather see Missouri in the national title than OU in the Fiesta. The Big 12 title should be a good game if OU shows up. Based on the first matchup I'd say Missouri is the favorite. They have a good run and pass game. But so does OU. I think this game will come down to which defense can make the big plays. Missouri didn't look good in the 4th quarter against Kansas.........and just like Mizzou against OU in their first game - Kansas beat themselves. I do beleive KU and MU are the 2 best teams in the Big 12 - along with OU - and that all 3 are very very evenly matched. And I also think Chase Daniel should win the Heisman - McFadden had some bad games whether ESPN wants to admit that or not. It is not just about the best player - it's about team impact as well. Missouri wouldn't be in the top 25 without Chase Daniel just like Arkansas would be worse off without McFadden. But Daniel makes the bigger impact I think. If Mizzou wins Big 12 title - Daniel SHOULD win the Heisman.

my prediction : Missouri wins 38-34. But I can't cheer against OU. So if they win I'll be very happy as a sooner fan. if they lose I'll be happy as a college football fan. If Ohio St. goes to the BCS title than good for them and for you Mike. wink WV vs. Mizzou is the best matchup on paper. but games are never played on paper. I'm more shocked right now that the Patriots are losing. I should have started Philadelphia's wide receivers in fantasy football. frown

btw - Mike if Ohio St. goes to nat. title you and I will definitely be betting. if you're ok with that.

Missouri smoked both Colorado and Texas Tech but lost to OU. I agree it is always tougher the second time around than the first. Thats where the coaches have to come up with different plays and earn their money. I am sure that Ohio State would love to play Illinois again just like OU would love to play Texas Tech and Colorado again. There are some teams that just have your number no matter how good you are. Go figure. We could keep going back and forth but the only way to find out who really is the number one team is to have the top 10 teams play each other but we know that will not happen

Cody, Ohio State played more teams that were rated in the top 25 than OU, Kansas, and Missouri and Missouri lost one of them. What I seen of OU, Kansas, and Missouri is that they don't have a defense. Plenty of offense but no defense and has not played a good defensive team. You don't think that Stoops is going to let his good buddy (Tressel, both came from Youngstown) down do you??????

OU's favored by 3 or so. Just because ESPN thinks the flavor of the month Missouri will win doesn't mean that the people who actually know what they are talking about (the people who set the lines) believe it.
