I'm too cheap to pay for the news behind a paywall. Can anyone share just the meat?

I've read it's the RSR car currently driven by Lynton Jeffrey. He'll debut next week at Attica.

Big changes are ahead within the RSR team. We cannot thank Lynton Jeffrey enough for his contribution, heart and knowledge these past few seasons. Though Lynton will continue to be a part of our family we are happy to announce that Aaron Reutzel Racing will be our new 410 driver of the #8 debuting this fall in his "Jailbreak Tour." Austin Miller will continue to learn and grow next year in both the 360 and 410 classes. We cannot be more proud of his growth and progress this year. We would like to thank Lynton and all of his crew for the amazing last three years. We wish him the absolute best in all of his future endeavors. All of that being said, we would like to formally welcome Aaron Reutzel, his wife Shelby and their children to our race team.

Thanks for the scoop Hawker. I like the jail break tour theme, you know that will sell some shirts. I wonder if the team will head farther east and go to PA for the big season ending races?

Good, Aaron is a good driver and I think the fans will be glad he broke out of jail.

i hope nobody buys the shirt. there seems to be a lack of remorse if they're making a joke about what happened. i'm not a reutzel hater like a lot of people seem to be and actually enjoy his style of racing...but if i'm printing up a shirt and giving my return a clever name...it's not showing sanctioning bodies that i feel too bad about what i did.
my guess is everyone will look the other way and all will be forgotten if he starts winning. then again...he could be cheating another way and putting himself at risk. cheaters are also the type who would look to blame somebody else if something bad happens. i hope car owners, the woo, and ascoc keep this in mind.

Going forward, which driver do you think is going to have his cars inspected with a microscope?

True...But then again, how embarrassing will it be to give series money to a team with the most inspected car out there?

At that point, they'll have to believe that he's making the money based on talent.

Lynton is one of the most liked reacer in the pits and his wing business seems to be doing well.A.R. will have to regain some respect after a few things that happened.People can forgive and forget as we have seen many times. It depends who you are between dirty driving and being aggressive or daring. There is alot more rule violations that never surface as it is bad P.R. Nascar issues fines and usually crew chief gets suspended and the race goes on.

Racing is supposed to be fun. Naming your comeback after a 30 day suspenesion "The Jail Break Tour" is funny. Having orange convict shirts is funny. Our premier series is called the "World of Outlaws"
AR understands that at every race this year, he is likely going to have his car teched. It is part of the game of being caught cheating. It happens at every level of motorsports. Nothing new here.
Once again, racing is supposed to be fun. Lets quit complaining about everything and enjoy the races including AR making fun of his suspension.

The thing I read said they welcomed Aaron, wife, and kids to the team. What about his 10 year old chassis???? Probably not, huh?
Things worked out pretty decent for the last guy that was suspended by a major racing organization - he's won, what, like 200 races during/since then?

Good post, yes we can still have fun at the races. Everything doesn't have to be cleansed of fun, have a sense of humor. Some so called race fans make me wonder if they shouldn't find another sport, but some people live to be whiners.

Reutzel got caught cheating, lost a very lucrative ride, missed some of the highest paying races due to suspension. He was punished. Never cared for the guy before he cheated and I wont like him after he comes back, but hes paid the price time to move on.
A question on the chassis....what happened to it? Was it confiscated? Does he still have it so he can cheat again?

Aarons new car owner is not going to cheat. New owner will be with team alot and would not allow sleezy things to be done. I am sure Aaron learned his lesson and will not ruin another good ride. I wish some old timer like Karl Kinser would tell about the things done by WOO teams. It is said all the front runners had 430 cube engines for use when needed. Titaniun cranks and rods were not legal but teams used them. Nitro was also used by some at times. The past was not lily white. A well known team crashed and caught fire with a huge orange flame. Alcohal does not burn orange.. Anyway Aarons new owner is a good honest guy.

The RSR team will be competitive right out of the box as A.R. is a good and fearless driver who will put a car where it might not belong.Being competitive has been a part of racing from the time the second car was built. Bending the rules has made smoky junior Ray famous in Nascar. If you think A.R. is the first WOO driver to bend the rules you are badly mistaken as the officials with WOO want every driver to follow the circuit.

Now I'm curious who you're talking about. Petty won the 200 races, then...oops! Maybe Scott Bloomquist?
In any event, if most people don't remember who it was, maybe the Reutzel issue will be forgotten quote quickly.

200 was an exaggeration - it's the same guy that hasn't won in like almost two weeks. A long, long time for him. Hasn't gone that long since he went to the beach.
