Jim Hurtubise stayed in my grandparents attic a couple times when the sprinters would come to the Minnesota State Fair. My grandpa didn't like it much but my dad and my uncle loved racecars and became friends with Jim so papa would tolerate it for the boys. I shared a few of those stories with Robin over a some emails and he always wrote back. Robin was one of the last links to the "old" days still doing journalism and I'm afraid any "new" stories about "old" times are gone forever. To quote a line from one of my top five movies........"all those moments will be lost in time like tears in the rain."

Thanks Robin.
