Can't be the GOAT without one of the greatest crew chiefs of all time.

Agree. His isn't given enough credit by the groupies. Larson is good but he wasn't nearly as good before Silva.

The best rides seem to go to the best drivers, been that way for a long time.

Agree. Karl's car went pretty good with another driver in it but not quite as good as with Steve in it. Silva's car would likely win a lot races with a few other drivers in it but not quite as many as with Larson it.

Silva has helped Rico in the past, and Rico was doing alot better then.
Donny had Ricky for most if not all of his Nat wins and WoO titles. I know engine change has made difference but even before Ricky had left he wasn't doing quite as good. Crew chief is a big part of the drivers success.

Yup. This argument gets old. All of the top sprint car drivers/teams have guys the drivers can't succeed without. Every one of them. Everyone needs to quit acting like Silva is the only functioning adult making calls on a sprint car. Larson has won a lot of races this year where Silva was nowhere to be found. I've been hearing how well funded Hendricks cars are so no wonder he's winning there too. All of the contenders in Cup are well funded. He only wins because Kevin Rumley can set up a late model like no other. Yet, Kevin Rumley, to my knowledge, was not at Knoxville Saturday night.
If these things are all true, I want Kyle Larson to come run my business. Somehow, he has managed to find the top 3 owners, and crew chiefs in the entire world, supposedly without one shred of talent, which means he is a marketing God!
(a lot of sacrasm in here-----I thought I'd better point it out because some won't understand what I'm saying)

Ah, why would Rumley be in knoxville ? Silva I'm sure is not there when he is running the late model. Silva and Larson's relationship goes back to the west coast where they both come from, as it did when he was turning the wrenches for Rico. How about giving Larson some credit ? In case you've missed it, he is that good.

Don't forget about all the success on the west coast with Roger Crockett and of course the ASCS 360 championship and 5 Knoxville 360 Nationals with Shane Stewart.

Once again, Paul Silva is great. However, are you comparing the success of Roger Crockett and Kyle Larson.......like they are equals because of Silva? Are there some stats I missed somewhere? Also, don't forget about the 28 ASCS 360 championships and the 25 Knoxville 360 Nationals championships that have been won without Paul Silva's help. Paul is fantastic. So are lots of other great minds across the country, and those great minds/wrenches attract the great drivers.

Does anyone know what Paul does for a living? It is obvious that he is more than a hobbiest running as many races as he did last year with Larson, but he is also not full time road warrior. I know that he raced a lot with Shane Stewart but once again I dont think that was not enough for a full time living.
He has success with multiple drivers in multiple series over time. Obviously, he is a part of the success of Kyle Larson. However, Kyle might be making a good mechanic look great.
