Johnny Gibson mentioned it last night at the WoO race, that it sounds like his trailer is a total loss! Waiting on insurance money to purchase a new trailer from what I remember!? Sounds like another week or better before he returns.

That really sucks for Sides. He's a driver that I always wondered how he did it. I wouldn't blame him if he took the insurance check and called it a career. As I get older I think more and more about how these guys are able to make it financially and it doesn't seem to pencil out most of the time.

I don't see how any of them do it. I had a car for 20 yr, I managed to beat some good cars on occasion so I've got a fair idea of what it takes to compete. without sponsorship I don't see how any car could make money.

Depending on the circumstances of the incident, it would be the person who hit the Sides' insurance that would have to cover the cost of the trailer and potentially lost income. Anyone who has ever been involved in an accident knows how much of a pain in the you know what it can be for the other person's insurance to not only pay for damages, but do it in a timely manner. Then there is the whole song and dance you have to do to get everything that you are acutally entitled to and with this being a case where the trailer was most likely totaled, I am sure the insurance company is trying to figure out everything they can to save some pennies. Not sure how old the trailer is but that might be a factor in how the insurance company factors the "value" of the trailer and then there is a matter of avaliablilty for everything.
With lost income, even though Jason has a legitimate and valid arguement, he may need legal action in order to get payment then that opens up another can of worms.

Depends as I have gone that route as well with an accident I was involved in but not at fault. Depending on the circumstances and how the companies work, they could make it out that they are expediting the process to get things resolved but in some cases as in mine, two weeks goes by and you find out not a damn thing has been done. That is when I did what you suggested and even with proper insurance fully covered it still took time with the whole processing and getting information. My previous company which was a food distributor would try the same process at times with their insurance company whenever our trucks would be involved in an accident but still had to deal with a frustrating process. There is always a difference between what/how something should happen versus what actually does happen. You can do everything the proper way all you want but does not always translate into efficency

My opinion is the moderators should ban you guys for awhile for your stupid ignorant behavior. Every time I read a thread it is always the same thing. Please grow up and lets have productive talks about sprint car racing. That's what this is for. This is why I don't do social media. That's what you guys have turned this into. Ridiculous.

I hear what you're saying but lets be honest, it is kind of funny. I say it's funny because I'm assuming they're both well past their 20s only because they're still using a forum. However they act like they're in middle school on here. I would love it if they both knew who the other one was and bought tickets to a race somewhere with assigned seating and had to sit by eachother. My guess is they either wouldn't look at each other all night or would be best friends by the end of the night, even though on here they can't resist insulting each other. Kind of like that meme where it says "People on social media" and there's 2 dogs seperated by a fence barking and growling at each other but as soon as they open the fence between the dogs, both dogs run away.
But if you're looking for "productive talks" about pretty much anything, online is probably not the place for it. Times have changed, I remember as a kid I would hear who won the Knoxville nationals at Husets the night after it happened and then I couldn't wait to get that Open Wheel issue which was probably a month and a half away that had the full recap. Then TNN broadcast the nationals and a few other events live, I made plans to watch every race televised on TNN and probably still have all the tapes somewhere. Once online became more prevalent, I could find the results but that didn't tell you a whole bunch, then I found Hoseheads which would give you other people's perspective of the races which I enjoyed and also people involved with the race (drivers, owners, crew members) also chimed in. But then came highlight videos of some of the bigger races which lead to more highlight videos of pretty much any race you want. Then came Dirtvision and Flo and whatever other dirt racing streaming options that are out there where you could see entire races live. And honestly now (and I mean no offense to anyone that puts their free time into this site becuase I do still typically visit here once a day) I think the forums are going to be going the way of Open Wheel magazine. What's the point of a forum anymore? I don't see anyone associated with sprint car racing posting on here regularly, for the most part it is fans, which is totally cool. But this day and age, I think a lot of people think that if they don't pick apart something or talk negative about it in some way that people will think they weren't paying attention. It's not just here either it seems to be everywhere online. I can't tell you the last time I read a post about how someone enjoyed a night of racing. The majority of the posts on here (related to racing) are about bad track conditions (which I could care less about, if it's a good race, I'll gladly run home and shower) bad or percieved bad officiating calls, the event taking too long or someones assesment about how someone is struggling this is excluding Murphy's assessment of the races because he gives all sides of the story. Again it's not just on here, you can go on Facebook and read the same comments you would here and I've heard twitter is worse. When I look at it I guess the only reason I really keep coming here is the drama lol.

You literally just called for people to be banned while at the same time calling them stupid and ignorant. YOU are the one that should be kicked out.

Not to interupt the high school mean girls session, but did Sides Motorsports procure a trailer yet for this weekends races?

I have a feeling that there are huge differences in amounts of items damaged, aount of items involved & the cost of items & stock in the night club area of the stacker!
Get all you can out of it Jason. Also allows you to take time off to regroup for the month of money. Guessing TK will be back for a fill in or "Gravy" as a last minute pilot!

What, he couldn't just walk in and say I want that trailer and I want the wrap to look like this, and by the way I need it asap because the folks over at hose heads think these things can happen immediately if not sooner. wtf.
