My guess is 1) bullrings aren't his thing, 2) it's 5 hours up and 5 hours back for him, so a 10 hour round trip for a regular show might be a bit much. He might be a bit more active there in the lead up to the Showdown in 2 weeks but who knows?

Everyone knows they race on Sunday nights.
All 3 McCarls generally make it to Huset’s but not Brown - same round trip distance for them.

My best guess is this, and in no way is it meant a knock on Mr Brown, I don't wanna start that debate. However, numbers don't lie. Brian Brown is a businessman and that's why he's been so successful with his team. His record at the smaller tracks is, well, fairly dismal. Can't make money in that five hour tow, if the probability of making dinero is low. So he stays home.
McCarl's on the other hand, well their record at Husets compared to Brown is quite the opposite. As I said, numbers don't lie and Terry's record there is incredible, although he hasn't run there much this year, to my knowledge due to motor woes, but Austin has a pair of wins.
thats The nuts and bolts of it in my opinion. It comes down to the fact that Brian Brown is a smart businessman first, a racer second. Nothing wrong with that in my mind either.

I know, I was just trying to be playful without being mean.
I think we can all agree that Husets is just not his cup of tea. I think we hear the same type of comments from the PA fans about racers who run the big tracks but stay away from Lincoln.

Brian Brown lives in Grain Valley, MO which actually is located in the North half of MO, not the South half.

Brian Brown lives in Grain Valley, Missouri, east of Kansas City. That is a long way from "southern" Missouri. 394 miles from Husets per Google Maps versus 329 miles from Knoxville to Husets. A little less than an hour each way in travel time.

The McCarls are from the Altoona area. NORTH of Knoxville. I think Brown resides around KC.

The guy with the single lap track record and 5th most all time wins at knoxville has tiny testicles? More proof that if brains were dynamite, many on this site couldn't blow their nose.

It's most likely a business decision. Husets is tough on equipment, the concrete walls are not forgiving. I've heard that some racers have a Knoxville car and a Husets car, and the Husets car is older equipment or lesser equipment.
If it's a track you don't like, a ten hour tow, and it tears up equipment, you're probably better off staying home. I think it's definitely a business decision and probably the correct one. The resources are better used at other races throughout the year.

Using his Brown's listed city of residence on his website, it's 5 hours 50 minutes to Husets per google maps. Including any stops plus driving a semi you're talking well over 12 hours of travel time and we're wondering the guy isn't racing at Husets for a regular show?
