Saw on Instagram Donny will be racing a truck at Kville
I recall someone saying he should get the chance over Brownie.
Who else is going from open wheel cars to the trucks at Kville?
Even though I may not know you, I
care what most of you think!

To answer your question about what open wheelers may be there..... whoever brings enough money.

Schatz plays around with his dirt Late Model and has gotten some respectable finishes against the top drivers in that discipline. The Late Models likely handle and race more like one of these NASCAR trucks than a Sprint Car and typically run longer races. I think that experience could help a lot.

Gravel is looking for funding to run one. With his experience both in a truck and at Knoxville I'd think he would be the most logical if I was looking for the best results. But we all know that's not the most important criteria.I guess he can't get Gordon and/or Axalta interested again.

Agreed.
Or maybe the fact that Donny has won a few big races at Kville.

Schatz will sell some tickets.Boone Marshaltown or Mason city would be much better show.I will be surprized if times will be below 19/20 sec. When a 410 or 360 turns a lap over 18 they appear to be very slow and off the pace.

I agree! When the sprints are that slow there isn't any excitement!
Let's go Sprint Car Racing!
Knoxville - Best Track In the USA!
Eldora - 2nd Best Track in the USA!

I'm thinking the trucks will be more equivalent to a hobby stock than a super late model.

If people my age didn't watch Sprints in the 60's when their lap times were over 20 seconds on half miles they wouldn't still be around today. Check out the history of Knoxville lap times, you can find it by a simple search.

Hope they have a sucessful show . Enduro and trailer races and demos make more money for our local track promoter than his late models. 100 laps will be interesting. They wont rip the cushion like #17 can . We raced mini sprints at Knoxville during the fair and used the big track and Cappy told me our lap times would have won the Nationals in the 60s. People like close racing with passing.

I started going in the 80's when I was a teenager. We don't need to go back to the 60's for over 20 second laps for a winged sprint car.....that would be very boring. Back then, were there very many sprinters with wings?

Please do not make me go to work and see if WOO have a race that weekend. I thought WOO would not let you race with another series esp. when they have a race. Was Donny given an exception because WOO feels it will help image of WOO?????

There are no WoO sprint car races scheduled for July 8-9 this season. No conspiracies to be had.
