Former Kings Royal Winner Enters Bandits Outlaw Sprint Series “All Star Sprint Car Showdown” at Texas Motor Speedway’s Dirt Track!

Former Kings Royal champion, 17-time World of Outlaws feature winner, National Sprint Car Hall of Fame and Museum inductee, and former Knoxville Raceway track champion, Johnny Herrera, has entered the June 10-11 Bandits Outlaw Sprint Series “All Star Sprint Car Showdown” at the 4/10-mile Texas Motor Speedway Dirt Track.
Johnny comments: “Well, I’ve always enjoyed racing at Texas Motor Speedway, had a win there, run well, and this particular event fits in my schedule. When Mark Huddleston and Chris Stivers contacted me about running Mark’s car, I said you bet. I’m already going to be there working the wrenches on Kade and Chance Morton’s cars – so it all pieced together. The ‘Bandits rules definitely makes for more competitive racing throughout the field, and the two-tire rule is a good thing. You have to get your car setup right, and it helps put the driver back in the seat, so it’s not a bad gig! I’ve wrenched on Harli’s car at two ‘Bandits events, so I’m familiar with the rules and I’m looking forward to seeing the race fans there too!”
Herrera will be behind the wheel of the Mark Huddleston owned number 45x, wrenched by Chris Stivers and sponsored in part by Stivers Motors, Murphy & Son Timber and DarinShort.com.
Beyond the success of his World of Outlaws career, Herrera has collected wins and championships in various forms of winged and non-winged open wheel racing divisions.
