Thinking about goint to Husets for the USAC show in September. Where is the best/worst places to sit. I know that this has been discussed on here before, but the search function was not working for me.
Thanks

I don’t think Huset’s really has any bad grandstand seating positions. Everyone will probably offer their opinions to the point you will only get more confused. We generally sit about halfway up the grandstand to the right side of the flag stand about half way to the start of turn 1.

The place really does have a good view from just about every seat. The worst place to sit is at home.
I usually sit way up high from the #4 corner. From that vantage point you can see everything. I like watching the cars through the corners.
If you sit in the rows below the concourse, you have an up-close & personal look at the cars because they are in your lap. You can see them, hear them, and feel them. Downside, is your view of the back straight is a little obscured, and sometimes you're catching some mud.
If you sit in about the last 8-10 rows of the south/ # 1 corner end above the concourse, the cars are a little obscured when deep in the #1 corner.
The highest up seats in the center seem to have a little more leg room, but there is a fat railing that is kind of a bother for viewing from a couple of the rows of seats.
There is also inside seating up high and at each end of the grandstands
For the most bang for your buck, get there early and scout out a seat with a view. Stand down on the concourse during hot laps and time trials. Plan on going in the pits afterwards. There's only 2 road out and it gets congested. You'll enjoy a half hour in the pits more than a half hour in a car in the parking lot.
It's a really nice facility and the racing is usually very good.

Everything for the USAC show is reserved above the midway. I would recommend buying a reserved seat atop turn four. You have a video board right there on the turn four seats for replays/scoring/timing. BIG J

Live is ALWAYS better!
Went to the WoO at the Grove last weekend, pretty boring race, actually, but i realized I enjoy the spectacle..
Plus, on PPV, you can only watch the whatever the cameraman decides to focus on, no looking back & forth at good battles back in the pack or certain drivers you're interested in...
Not to mention fragrance of methanol & other fans to BS with...
