A J Moeller is really improved. Great to see him set fast time. Once he gets his slick track program figured out he's going to win some A mains.l

When the a main is not held but the event is considered completed do they assign any points to any of the drivers if so how?
Even though I may not know you, I
care what most of you think!

Knoxville has always made up rained out mains when the prelim events have already run. Their facebook page said that the 410's will run double features next week. They also announced they will run the make up 360 and 305 mains at a future date.

I wonder at what point do the others start looking at Moeller's car and think, "What is he doing to be that fast?" Last couple of years that car can downright haul in clear air and with a good curb. Slick program and dirty air program needs work but his improvement has been very exciting to watch.
Also, who is this Caleb Johnson guy from Sioux Falls? He has looked exceptionally solid this year and consistent.

Sad 410 car count. Is this the new norm at Knoxville when invaders aren't there to prop up the count?

Even with increased purse hard to have a full field . Hussets NOSA has a good following so far but the top 4/5 cars will probably win every feature same with Knoxville where a good motor program is key. I know it is early in the season and some fans arent ready to get out yet but the crowds havent been at a profitable level at most tracks. The weather has also been a factor .Dirt Vision is also a factor.

Isn't that probably true of every track, or race organization, that the top 4/5 cars will probably win every feature?

Caleb, has been racing since he was 5 years old. Started in go karts and worked his way through Mini Sprints, 305's and now, 360's. Our Daughter raced against him in karts, good family and a clean racer. My wife grew up with his Dad, and I met Doug in 1984 at Jackson Speedway. GREAT RACING FAMILY.

Probably a dumb question, but is his dad (Doug) the same guy that is the GM at the Jackson Motorplex (used to shoot photoes for years prior) ... or a completely different Doug Johnson?? It's a common enough name, pretty good chance they may be completely different.

That probably applies most of the time at most tracks but it definitely does not apply with the World of Outlaws this year

The top-5 in WoO points (Sweet, Gravel, Macedo, Reutzel, Sheldon) have won 20 of the 23 features run (87%). Schuchart, McFadden, and Marks are the only others to win a race. I'd argue that it most definitely applies to the WoO this year. Schatz and Schuchart have had their moments... but those top 5 drivers have been on another level.

Great info. Make sense now. Watching him so far this year I can tell he is a clean racer, intelligent, and super consistent. I'm going to guess a win at Knoxville may be in his future shortly.
Side note still talking about the 360 class, Higday is back and that Hetrick 35 car has been on a rail.
Ready for Saturday and twin features.

I'm afraid so. Every team that is semi local that has good backing to complete goes and races elsewhere. Gio/KCP out of DSM running mostly outlaws, Hunter/TK55 team running All Stars, AMAC w/Tarlton in CA, and why Wayne Johnson doesn't run Knoxville weekly when he is pretty good there idk but his call for sure. I'm not blaming these guys or car owners as they are just trying to further their careers but when this becomes the norm it's hard to have good car counts. I'd be lying if I said it didn't upset me a little. Many other teams have merged like Juhl and TKS. Lunstra and or Dobmier was another 1-2 teams at times. It adds up and the writing as been on the wall as a steady decline since the last peak when the NSL was a thing. That was a great year....
Crowds - first week was excellent, last couple race weeks the weather has been downright awful for the time of year. Warm up already.
