Nothing better than listening to Bobby Unser tell stories. You could listen to him for hours. I wish there were more intervies of him.

I'm surprised there are so few posts about Booby Unser. For the under 40 crowd who have never heard of him, he is one of the last of the Indy 500 winners ( 3 wins at Indy, by the way ), who also excelled at Sprint Car racing, having won on both dirt and pavement. Also a winner in what today is known as Silver Crown cars. His wins in all of these types of cars came in the non wing, non roll cage era. Only a token roll bar behind the driver, which was usually shorter than the drivers head. Many people are drivers, but he was a Racer.

I thought the very exact thing Muddy but was hesitant to post any thing..
Seems people are more concerned with the Racing Teams financial issues, or the now Famous Johnson/Reutzel fight or why Jacob & Logan aren't being nice to each other!!.... LMAO....
A truly accomplished Open Wheel Racing Hero passes and it's Crickets on the Open Wheel Message Board...

RIP Bobby Unser.The Unser name is synominous with Indy car racing along with the Andretti family. Things are different now as it all about the money.
